Word of Thanks
Gene, Thanks so much for the info on my SuperPro. Guess it will celebrate it's 30th birthday next week. I would never have thought it was bleached from black to the sort of transparent orange color it is now. But knowing it was once black accounts for the slightly dark graining in the finish. Someon...

Sho-Bud Date
Good Morning Gene, I would like to add my Thanks for what you are doing for us Sho-Bud owners. If I may, I have a Super Pro #15329 if you have any info on it. It has been completely redone and is beautiful. Also, it is signed by Lloyd Green and dated 01/04. That is about when it was redone then sold...

Super Pro
Cameron,
I was told by the person I bought it from recently that it is an '83. But - I don't know for sure. There are some guys who post here, Ricky Davis for one, that might be able to give you a close year if he knew the serial number. Try Ricky and see what turns up.

Super Pro
Hi Leon,
Saw that you are line so I wanted you to know that I love the Super Pro I bought from you. Another player here in Bartlett played it and said it was the best he had ever played.
Hope to get down your way Sep or Oct to do some fishing. I'll let you know when,

Drum Machines
Thanks, Greg. This looks like something I can do so I'm looking for a used 880. You do so much for all of us folks and I for one greatly appreciate the time you must put in and then sharing with others. When I find me a good used 880 I may need to call on you again for your expertise.

Drum Machines
Could someone tell me if there is a drum machine that I can just take the output and plug that into an amp to get drum sounds. I don't know much about electronic stuff but need the drums out in my music room to keep good timing. I could spend $200-$250 for one. Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Who is playing Ft. Worth
Hi Folks,
I will be in Ft. Worth Jan 11th - 15th. Can anyone tell me where I might go, in the close area so I don't get lost, to hear some steel?? I'll be staying downtown at the Hilton but have transportation.
Thanks a Lot,
Jerry Grant

Emmons Decal
Thanks Herb, I looked at the decal just now and there is no line under the word Stereo. Also, it has the cut-tail neck and no tone & volumn controls and no holes to show there ever were any controls. Bill Dearmore told me sometime this past summer that Emmons did make a few SD-10'S early on but ...

Hi Everyone, I love all the Emmons being shown. I have a question for anyone who knows -- I bought what is now a SD-10 Emmons, black fatback from a gent in Mo. back in March. It has an EMMONS STEREO decal and the undercarriage has been changed out with ShoBud Super Pro mechanics. The end plate has a ...

Starter Steel
Hi Justin, I work in downtown Austin at the Federal Builiding. I have a nice Wilcox, SD-10, standard 3 & 4, Emmons, Black that I'll take $750.00 for. I bought it new from Chet about a year and a half ago, #80, built by him. I have the video that he sends out with each steel he builds and sells. ...

A Thanks to Greg C.
I was in need of a new pot for my Goodrich pedal so I bought one from Bobbe a week or so ago while vacationing in Nashville. Looked at Greg Cutshaw's instructions to change it out. Works great now. Thanks Greg for all the info you put out.

Josh,
Jim Flynn, Lone Star Steels, lives about 50 miles up I-35 from Austin in Salado. He builds and repairs steels. Super nice guy. I don't have his phone number handy but you can look him up on the Internet under steel manufacturers. He is the only one in our area that I know of.

What a wonderful lady Sherry is . I was over to her house today for a couple of hours tuning up and visiting. Hi John, I have S-10, 3/4, all cherry wood, stain and lacquered a deep reddish color. I bought it nearly new from a fellow up in Pa in Dec of '06. It only had one knee lever, a RKR. So I took it over to Jim Fylnn, Lone Star Steels, in Salado and had him add the other 3 knees. It is a 'home-made' gui...
