Zach is one of my favorite players. Definitely go check them out, they put on a great show. I saw them last year and Zach was great to talk to after the show.

I believe the steel player is Stephen “Tebbs” Karney.

I've been enjoying a lot of the Dee's livestreams (and they are archived) on Youtube. A lot of great steel music being played on there!

I know there is a lot of subjectivity to this question, but I'm curious about personal experience.

How did you decide on the steel you play now? Price? Availability? Influence of your favorite player? What was your reasoning?

Have any of you actually used it on a gig? Using it in the practice room doesn’t give a good comparison. Does anyone know of a sort of guide to the differences in the various models of Emmons guitars? I'm beginning to shop around and I see some of the models and don't really know the differences.

Anyone ever play the intro to Merle Haggard's "Ramblin' Fever" on E9 steel? Seem like it would be a fun one. I've looked around for tab but haven't had any luck.
