The thing
Just got this "Thing" in the door, saying make a steel guitar out of this. Body is all aluminum and measures from 1/4" to 1/2" thick. Any opinions...Home made? unfinished commercially made? Any thoughts about the pedal rack and pedals? Seen from the end where the aprons flare out...

Fender 2000
Recently I crossed paths with this old beauty, a Fender 2000 D10 year 1964, serial # 00004. Surprisingly fine-looking for the age. Usual scrapes and dings and faded lacquer but evidently has been handled with care. All 10 pedals work like they should, changers, cables, connections and pulleys likewi...

Eddie was a huge person in the steel guitar scene in Canada and the world. He graciously invited me to spend a weekend with him where he propelled me into the wonderful world of steel guitar building. Now, some 20 guitars later, I still think back to this weekend where I learned so much from the Mas...

I must be slipping...old age maybe? Dale Rivard was here a couple of weeks ago and tried out the latest BenRom. This guitar went to a local guy, Brendan Roy.

How often do you see someone try to use that to tune the A# of LKV (or wherever they put that lever), and then get frustrated that the Franklin pedal won't drop to A? I know...It takes a while getting used to tuning at the screws and not going for the nylon nut like we're used to BTW, Bent, I love ...
