Where should your knees be when you are sitting at a pedal steel? I am really not sure but I am a pretty big guy (6' 2"). I feel like the legs on my Carter Starter are not long enough for me. Is there a home remedy or do I have to go with the Carter over height kit?

Right now I am using a Peavey 5150 2 12 combo. I know it isn't the best for pedal steel but I was planning on getting a Roland Jazz Chorus as soon as I can save up enough.
