2001 Carter D-10 8X5 Black - SOLD

Emmons setup, 2" Overheight Kit installed (easily removed). $1500 plus shipping from Wisconsin. It's a great guitar, but I've decided to focus on Dobro and Lap Steel. http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1029/6272_D10_perspective_1.jpg http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1029/6272_D10_front_...

This is probably a question for Craig, but do you think there is any chance we could set up Friday night in the seminar room? Maybe it could then be locked up at 11 pm or so? That would give us a little extra sleep time Saturday morning...

I just wanted to offer my thanks to everyone who responded to my question. The suggestions have proved very valuable, and I have been working hard on incorporating these ideas into my playing. It looks like it is paying off, we had a gig last week and I was able to start working these "staccato...

Rockabilly backup

We just lost one of the guitar players in our band. We play a mix of Classic Country and Rockabilly. My problem is that when our lone guitar player takes a solo now, I have to cover the rhythm guitar part. I think I'm doing OK on the country stuff with some simple chording, but I haven't figured out...

Craig A Davidson wrote:The seminar will be at the Mead on Saturday morning. It will be about 4 hours long. Cost is 75 bucks and well worth it. That's Saturday the 8th of March. I still don't really have for sure committments and we need 8 of them.
Craig,

I'm for sure in.

On an unrelated note do any of you gig around the Madison area or know of any players that do? I'm always up for seeing pedal steel players live but I haven't had much luck finding any players around Dane county. Sean, There are some very fine players currently gigging around Madison - a few that c...

Re: music camp

the only thing that came close was jeff newman camp in "95. I bought Jeff's "Up From the Top - A&B Pedal" DVD/CD a couple of months ago and I feel like it has really helped me a lot. I wish he was still around, I'd love to have had the opportunity to sit down with him. He was abl...

Music camp with pedal steel instruction?

A couple of summers ago my wife and I spent a week at Nashcamp - a bluegrass music camp near Nashville. It was one of the best vacations we ever had. She was just starting out on the mandolin and got a week's worth of instruction from the great Roland White. I took Dobro classes with an amazing youn...

I overheard this conversation one night in a bar: Guy 1: "What is that thing the guy is playing sitting down?" Guy 2: "It's kind of an electric dulcimer." and later in the evening during "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry": Guy 1: "I've heard that song before, who origin...

Craig, We met a month or two ago during one of your Thursday night gigs at Country Corners near Madison. I'm going to be at the show this weekend and have a question for you or anyone out there. I'm still a beginner, I got my Carter Starter a little over a year ago, and any minute now, UPS will be d...
