Agree. No ports in the ends, no screw holes underneath. More desirable having not been hacked.

Still looks fine, and I can’t envision any functional difference, but I love the look of those teardrops.

Again, very nice job.

Looks way better than new. Very pretty, and probably my favorite two-tone.

Shouldn’t that have teardrop knee levers?

Playing nonpedal E9 will show you where to find all the notes, and give you a much better idea of what the pedals are actually doing for you. And it’ll teach you to play slants, which can be handy down the line.

I had one with 6+2 which was originally E9 and I had a friend convert to C6. Kinda confirmed I’m not a push-pull guy, though I occasionally wish I’d persisted.

It became E9 3+4 at its next stop along the way.

I had the Rumble 100 until shortly before I got this one. 120 Watts. 16 Pounds. And I’ve gigged with it on steel.

Does not make me pine nostalgically for my Session 500.

A little surprised we’ve gotten this far without someone mentioning the Ampeg SVT with the 8X10 cabinet.

I picked up a GFI Ultra keyless S-10 for that exact concern. Lighter and smaller than all of the above.

I’d just play the Williams. My other grab’n’go is a keyless Williams D-10.

An Unsung Hero

There have been multiple, well-deserved threads testifying to the impact of instruction by several forum members, dead and alive. I come today to praise the forgotten Herb Steiner. I bought every piece of instruction I could get from Herb. Dobro, E9, C6, the whole nine yards. Well thought out arrang...

Works well on C6 with a little “gain.”

The mechanics so dictate, but the pickups in Scott's picture are not very much further from the bridge than the stock, certainly compared to the neck pickup on any standard guitar. That almost certainly reduces the effect. The neck pickup on an L5 (or a Tele!) is a long way from the bridge.
