Strangely enough, I can take both amps side by side, with nothing plugged in to either one and with reverb tanks unhooked and the bad amp always develops this "hum/buzz" after it warms up. As an experiment, I carried this silly thing around to various gigs over the course of about 6 months...

NV112 problem

One of my 112's has an issue that's been around for a few yrs now. When the amp is first turned on it sounds good. Then after about 30 seconds it develops a hum. I've already sent it to Peavey but couldn't tell any difference when I got it back. The problem is isolated to the amp for sure. I've even...

I know this is kind of an old thread but I found it and thought I'd chime in. I've been using a rp150 for around 6 yrs and absolutely love it. Now watch the dang thing quit me after bragging on it.

I wouldn't be too upset to lose a small amount of tone since mostly everything I do is live play. I've had 4 fusions in my back and the weight does take its toll after a while

Thank you all for the reply. I have to use it every week (fortunately) and might consider selling if things slow down enough. I've had 3 Carters in the past liked their tone as well. I better not ruin the tone so I guess I'll leave it alone.

D-10 Sierra Crown Question..............

I currently am using a D-10 Crown and absolutely love the tone so much that I am not willing to part with it to get a lighter guitar. Can someone tell me roughly how much weight can be lost if I remove the guts and inside neck and replace it with a pad? Thanks

Need help with Sierra p-ups

I'm completely new to Sierra guitars and am wanting information on how to put a George L 10-1 in one of these modular setups. Can someone point me in the direction of where I can learn about them? Thanks!

Thanks guys! This thing is in great shape. I disassembled it, cleaned it and I just put it back together with a different setup. As soon as I fine tune it and get everything adjusted tonight, I'll get to hear her sing !

12 string MSA

Reece,
A good friend picked this guitar up for me and I was wondering how old it is. Serial # 1C 120. It has a weird configuration that I'm not used to, so I gutted it and am presently reworking the setup to what I'm used to. Thank you

2006 Carter SD-10 $1900

I bought this steel last year from a fellow forumite and hate to get rid of it but I "need" to. It plays very well. Birdseye ebony, 4 pedals, 5 knees. Standard emmons set-up. 0 pedal lowers strings 3 and 6 a full step. Comes with flight case w/wheels. It is also 1" lower than standard...

I got the 155's because they take up less space in my seat. As to why they are better, I have no idea. Maybe my old cables just completely sucked but did comp the other cables I had lying around that I use for other instruments and to my suprise the georgeL cables blew the other ones away as well. I...

After using georgeL's for a full week now, if I had to use anything else I'd just stay home and watch TV. To me there's that much difference.

I've that too Tony and it does work great. Right now I've settled on this set up that seems to be satisfying my need for playability and tone. Steel>bobro>VP>RP150>left @ right outputs to two NV112's beside me. I will add that I have the Bobro pedal and the RP150 down at my feet between my 4th pedal...

As long as the RP digitech is at least a 150 or 155 and up you'll be fine. The earier and the smaller ones didn't have the adequate circuitry or the lexicon reverbs.

I've tried many different ways to try to achieve the best order for my tastes. The problem I've found with putting the "RP" before the VP is that the reverb/delay would abruptly stop when I cut the volume off, and I like it to have sort of a fade out effect (about 1 second) for the reverb ...

Cables do make a difference at least in my case. I was using decent cables I thought until I started using georgeL the other day. I'm sure there is other cables that are of great quality but I just decided to go with georgeL because of all the great things I've heard and read. If I would have known ...

I would be happy to email some patches that I use for delay and reverb but I just recently switched to georgeL cables and since they cleaned my signal up so much I will have to totally readjust the parameters in the RP150. I should have time this weekend to get it completed. I'll post when I'm finis...

Not that I'm trying to plug or advertise for Digitech, but...........I use an RP150 and to me it is the perfect solution for adding effects to any instrument including pedal steel guitar. It's very simple to use and as far as having to tweak settings in the middle of a gig, it's just a matter of pus...
