Quilter Steelaire Pro

Got this amp a couple years ago. It’s super clean and sounds great. $900 includes shipping to the lower 48. I’ve got more pics that I’d be happy to email. Can’t figure out how to up load multiple pics to this post. . [img]https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1712/6227_914A2BCC831242EC9AB0F...

Quilter makes a Steelaire and Steelaire Pro. The difference is you can quickly remove the amp head from the Steelaire Pro for use on its own for recording, etc. Both models come with the same 15” speaker and weigh the same. The Steelaire Pro combo has a slightly different cabinet profile. There ar...

Been away from the computer for a while. Thanks for all the suggestions. I think Jon hit the nail on the head.
I've always cut the string two winds or so past the tuning key and it's always worked. I gave it a lot more with the 3rd string and it did the trick

When I opened the case to work on the guitar the 3rd string was completely loose! I replaced the string again cutting the string a bit longer than usual. (I usually go two pegs past and never had a problem)
Working fine now. I'm thinking I might have had a run of a few bad strings?

Lane, I can think of a lot of problems between the the guy sitting on the chair and the guitar, but I haven't had this particular problem before.
As I said, I've tried several strings.
Maybe Howard is on to something. I'll swap out a nylon tuner and see if that helps. Thank you both

Problem with Carter

I recently bought a Carter 2006 D10 which I've been using a lot for the last month or so. Plays great, stays in tune, etc until I changed strings yesterday. Now the 3 string on the E9 neck won't stay in pitch. It keeps going flat. I've replaced it twice and still goes flat. Same gauge and brand of s...

Fulawka

If Ed replaced the changer 6-7 years ago it's basically like new. I wouldn't presume to suggest an asking price, but a new Fulawka SD10 is $3750. Ed is a very robust and healthy man in his early eighties. Last I heard his waiting list for a new guitar is 5+ years.
Just my 2 cents.....

Silvertone

Hi Matt - I've got the same bass. The tuners look original. Mine look exactly like the tuners on my '60's P bass and are reverse, as well. I believe the holes around the bridge are from the bridge cover that originally came with. 34" scale and the neck (at least mine) feels like a Fender C neck...

ATA case

Hi David Google Cabela's sporting goods catalog and search "flight proof gun case". I bought one a few years back for my S-10. I had to rip out some foam to make it fit and it worked great. Under $200. Don't let the low price scare you. It's built like a brick..... house with wheels, reces...
