Bobby - shipping rates to the US

Hi Bobby. Thanks for your interest. To be honest, I haven't given any thought to looking up shipping and insurance to the States. Of course, at around 150 lbs. it's not gonna be cheap. I took it on the plane as bulky luggage when I moved from the US to Germany. If you are more interested, I would be...

GERMANY/EUROPE - double-8 WBS Console Steel

Hi guys. Now that I have a new baby and a small apartment, I realize I have one too many steel guitars! I am selling my double 8 Console Steel made by Wolfgang Bednarz at WBS. I thought I would try to sell it on my own before I give it to him to sell on consignment to save shipping costs. This is a ...

Rock/Country Rock Style on the e9 pedal steel

Hi guys. I'm getting into a band that plays alot of country rock, southern rock I guess you could call it. The songs are mostly simple riff-based songs. The sound they are looking for is slightly distorted slide guitar sound, but I want to still bring out the special sounds that you can only get on ...

Mid-range E9 Steel for delivery in Germany

I'm looking for a "mid-range" E9 guitar for smaller gigs and practice to replace my worn-out Carter Starter. I prefer not to pay too much in delivery costs to Germany. Price range 500-1000 euros/dollars. Anyone in Europe have a steel they want to get rid of? I do prefer a better-known bran...

I'm not sure that a traditional guitar wah-wah pedal would produce the same sound as a tone-changer. Besides those pedals are pretty noisy when running clean through. I guess I'll have to learn more about electronics and rig me up something. Yeah I see some guys doing the finger trick to vary the to...

What makes that wah-wah sound??

I was wondering what makes the swelling wah-wah sound on some the old swing/country tunes. You heard it from Speedy West all the time. And recently I saw Hank Williams III in concert and his steeler's guitar could do it too. He had a stand-up console type non-pedal Fender guitar I believe. Don't kno...

Ok, I realize that a lot of people might not have heard of this song.

If that's the case, I am also trying to figure out the solo on Rosanne Cash's "Seven Year Ache". Anyone have this tabbed out?

thanks.

Hi - First of all, I just joined the forum after following it for a few months now. I am also kind of a beginner on steel, having started out with several years of regular guitar. I thought I'd post my first message as a request for help with a song. sorry if this is already out there .. didn't see ...
