Jeff, Have you heard about Matamp in the UK? www.matamp.co.uk They build amps in different sizes and price classes, and you can customize to your heart's content. I'm GASing for a Minimat head at the moment... http://steelguitarforum.com/wink.gif They're supposed to have some quite dedicated fans in...

Any news on Gary Swallow?
Hi, I've tried to send an e-mail to Gary Swallow to get him to make me a custom bar, but I haven't heard anything from him. Do anyone here know if he's still in business? I hope he is, because I would love to try one of his bars. ------------------ Cheers, Øystein Ayers Acoustic Gold Tone Solid Spru...

I don't know if this is of interest, but I thought I'd answer the guys who were so helpful when I asked about my Tube Screamer. I opened it today, and I am the lucky owner of a JRC4558D chip! Woopee! http://steelguitarforum.com/smile.gif Thanks to all of you who answered my questions! --------------...

David, Thanks for your reply! It seems to me that the Black Box does quite subtle things to the sound, and that they can be somewhat difficult to describe. Is this an accurate observation? Thanks for giving me a better understanding of how it works! ------------------ Cheers, Øystein Ayers Acoustic ...

Hi, I'm just curious. How does the Black Box work on regular 6-string, or lap steel, for that matter? And, how does it really work on the sound; i.e. what does it do? ------------------ Cheers, Øystein Ayers Acoustic Gold Tone Solid Spruce Weissenborn National Dynamic Fender SRV Strat Koch Twintone ...

Off topic, I know. But I just had to answer John on that one! I had to laugh when I read your post! I've never been able to tune in cents, so it's all by ear for me. You can get a guitar quite well tuned by that good old method, too. I almost invariably find I have to adjust guitars that have been d...

Thanks Kevin, This is a bit difficult, since I've already had a very good offer from Loni. It's also a problem since I can't see any of the guitars before I buy them. However, maybe someone who's not selling could give some objective info here...? Thanks again! ------------------ Cheers, Øystein Gol...

Good grief! It seems there's almost a small religion to these pedals, or maybe I should say a sect (spelling?). I'll try to find out which chip I've got. After all this I'm pretty curious. Thanks Jim, How do I find out what chip is in it? I haven't got the box or anything of the original stuff that came with it. It has been used on a pedal board, so it has velcro on the bottom. Hello, I have an Ibanez TS808 that I bought off a guy I played in a band with some years ago. I don't think he really knew what it was worth, because I got it very cheap. It is the real deal, green colour and all. It works perfectly! No scratching or anything... Has anybody any idea of what this mig...

Very pretty, Fred! Nice tuning, and a beautiful sound from that guitar. Is it one of your Oahu's...? Pity about your voice. It's very good, but it got a bit lost in all the sound from your playing.
