I replaced mine.......
I replaced the Starter pickup with a 10-1. I would call Carter just to make sure the one you want will fit to be sure though. Great change in the tone. I'm almost sorry I sold it now as I also could find it usefull as a rehearsal guitar.

Man what a great show
You've got a great gig there....you are really lucky. It's the first time seeing Dwight live and I gotta say it rocked. No bull, no fluff, more than an hour and a half of great music. He won over a very mixed audience (it was a trade show party) and pleased everyone. Wow!

Steel Player with Dwight Yoakim?
I got to see Dwight and the band in Las Vegas this past week at the Palms for a private party on the rooftop. Great show! Fantastic! The steel player also played a number of other instruments but only played steel on a few. Anyone know who that is? On the D sings B album it says Josh Grange and Dwig...

I just noticed
when tuning my C6 Carter that on one page of the Carter book it says D or G for the first string. If it's D it's supposed to be a .012 and if it's G it says a .015. I have a .012 on there and tuning to G. I tuned down to D and it feels spongy....and the little I've learned on C6th is now altered. Hm...

But on the Buck album it's Josh Grange. I'll be seeing him in a couple of weeks at the Infocomm show in Vegas. I will come back with a report.

Yup
I still sleep with my eyes open. It freaks out the wife, dog, and cats and kids. I think it was more like '73 (or even earlier) Jory because I know I was back living in Salem in 75. It is all a blur. Remeber the Marzipan Band? I have Mark's 72 P bass still.

Paddles
I was actually going to start a thread asking if anyone knew where to get "paddles" to be attached to levers. When I sit at my Carter the RKR is the furthest pedal in on the guitar and my whole sitting position is defined by it. Anyone know if someone makes these?

Hey Dave M..........
I was at that Janice Joplin show at Harvard Stadium. That summer they had an incredible series of concerts. I saw Ike and Tina, Mountain, and a bunch of others. I'm from West Roxbury and a bunch of us would go every week. Also the shows at Boston Tea Party and Psykadelic (sp?) Supermarket. Whoo- hoo!...

On the other hand........a perspective
Had to jump into this one....... It is convienient for everyone to single out "cigarette smoke" as a measureable cancer causing factor. Any of you who have a gig this weekend where you drive for a half hour.....maybe an hour? to get to the gig have four, six, or god forgive eight cylnders ...
