WOW !!! Amazingly strange and beautiful alchemy. Fantastic synergy between you all. It's like walking into a bar on some distant planet and overhearing three higher life forms conversing about politics , love and probobly sport and what was better....M.A.S.H or Happy Days. ;)

Thanks Susan.

Lost Ragas live - Murderous And Insane

Hey pedal pushers and other outcasts, here's a live clip of my band Lost Ragas playing a track from our recent album ' Trans Atlantic Highway '. Don't be fooled by the title , it's actually a love song of sorts. Ha! As usual my 82' PP through Tom Brumleys 63' Super Reverb, and when it hits the solo ...

Fantastic Susan! Loved the story about Olivier Messiaen. I'm going through a big Messiaen phase myself at the moment, was thinking his piece Fete Des Belles Eaux written for 6 Ondes Martenot would be great arranged for pedal steel. :) If he were alive I'm sure he would write for pedal steel, he was ...

Original composition for pedal steel and piano

Howdy folks, here's a piece I wrote for pedal steel and piano that I set to a homage to the great American artist Edward Hopper.
It's titled ' Reflections In Silver'.
It's sparse and cinematic, hope you enjoy it.
Cheers , Shane.

Today EVERY steel guitar is crying, they lost the big daddy, the greatest , no contest and from what I'm told, a great man.
I'm truly sad.
RIP Mr Emmons , the world loves you.

Hey Curt, happy to share the process with you. I wrote this song and so I had a pretty strong concept of what was going on it before I brought it to the band. The steel part was fairly obvious to me straight away, the refrain that builds. The other parts during the verses and choruses we all improvi...

Thanks Joachim, glad you liked my steel. Mike, cheers mate, I told Matt who sang it that it reminded you of Ron Sexmith and he was very happy about that. We're both fans of Ron's so it's a more than welcome comparison. Joseph, the eagles comparison makes sense, we all sing and write in this band and...

Hi David, ha! It was a bit of a squeeze to get in the back seat with a D-10
on my lap but I made it. Reckon the spanner might catch on.
Hope to see you at a show!
