Modulation
Thank you all for your input. The progression from D - D7 - G - C is one of them. Are there any more variations. I am using the A6 tuning.

What is the best or easiest way to modulate fron D to C for lap steel. Is there a instruction or video regarding modulation to any key? Thanks.

profex II problem
Thanks Jerry. The profex works. No problem getting the A and B channels and C with the card. I think I know what I did wrong. Some how I pushed the play and global buttons and turn the unit on which will reset it to the factory setting. Now I get a warning that the battery is low and yet I have the ...

peavey cache card 32
I have not used my profex II for some time. In the process of finding out how it works, I accidently erase all the Jeff Newman's settings in my cache card. I have not been able to retrieve it. I also get a message on my profex that the battery is low. Does my profex has a battery? Question: How do I...

Aloha Jeff. Thanks for your kind words. I forgot the make of the guitar except it is a European made 6 string lap. I let you know as soon as my friend gets back from France. Use C6 for Hula Blues(F)and A6 for Sand(D)instead of B11. I like to slant the E chord, sounds a lot better in my opinion. The ...

Excel J.B. series 6 string lap steel.
Thanks Ray for the info. The one my friend has is a 6 string lap steel. I am sure the 6 string is a lot less than the 8. I have not seen any Excel steels for sale on this Forum lately.

Aloha Armand,
As far as I know, Tjo never met Sol cause sol passed away way before Tjo came to California. I know all the steel guitars Tjo had. His favorite was the Rickenbacher 6 string fry pan which Peter inherited. E mail me at jsmith1378@aol.com if you had any more questions.

I don't remember George playing a Rick Silver Hawaiian steel here in California. Sol died in 1953 and George came to California in the late 60's. I used to play with George in those years. Yes, he had various made steel guitars but I never saw a Silver Haw. steel. For your info we buried George next...

Mod Pot For Goodrich Super Sustain Matchbox
Need to replace the (gain) mod pot of this Model 7A matchbox. It is making a crackling sound. The pot is a cube with a value of 100K ohms. Anybody knows where to get this part. Thank you so much. You can
E-amail me at jsmith1378@aol.com.
BTW: Can I used a regular 100k ohm audio taper pot?
