Hi Steelers; I have been looking to buy a D8 non-pedal guitar. I have a chance to buy a Fender Stringmaster D8, with 22.5" scale. I'm not sure if I should try to find one with the optional 24.5" or 26" scales, or just go with the 22.5" Please help me out. What are the advantages/...

Jim, I should have mentioned that I had a chance to look at the guitar when Paul brought it to my house a few weeks ago. It looks like it needs quite a bit of work done to put it in shape.

The gas valve handle is configured to operate as a RKV lever. A bit tricky, that one.

Looks like a very nice guitar. Too bad someone tried to 'improve' it with a coat of paint. I am going to differ with all the other options expressed this far. You can never put Humpty together again.
