Rick I love the seat I got for Christmas...I'm growing attached to it, which is a good thing. Means I practice more. Looking forward to the show this year, always willing to pitch in on the guitar if needed. Take care! Chaz

Oh, my. I thought that the Buy It Now price was at the high end... my Melody Maker sold in 30 minutes! The very clean alligator case was the deal maker, the buyer said. Sorry, Al.

Bob, any sustain pedal for the garden-variety electronic piano will work for the Alesis. Get two, and you also have a tempo-tap pedal and a fill insert function. The local music store here sells them for about 12 bucks. -Chaz

Al, I just listed my 1961 Melody Maker on Ebay. It's a super clean guitar- almost couldn't believe it was vintage. Take a look on ebay under "Gibson 1961 Melody Maker" and if you're interested, let's talk about a Steel Guitar Forum discount; I'm flexible. For example, you could take 150 of...

Gary, I was headed for your table on Sunday (after playing guitar behind Sonny) to say 'hello' to you when a phone call came that made me have to hurry back to Columbus. I've marked my calendar for May 10 and I hope to see you then.

Sold pending payment

I got a positive reply via email from Dave just 20 minutes after posting this PSG, but he did not post a message here. Pending his payment, it's sold. Either this is the greatest forum on the net, or I'm no good at pricing.

Carter Starter $500

I bought this Carter Starter from forum member Lonnie Z last Summer, and it's served its purpose very well. I learned to play enough to do a half dozen gigs and one session with it, and it's always in tune and up to the task. Does Lonnie's name on the front call for a discount or an upcharge? I'm su...

It's a Marlen and it's gone

Please close this thread, Bob. This guitar is gone, to a buyer that may actually pay for it, eventually. A donation was made, and will be "enhanced" when I actually see the bread. And thanks to the guys who helped me identify the thing. Thanks, Chaz

Ed Naylor

Another opinion checks in. I got an ebay response from someone who is sure that this PSG was made by Ed Naylor here in Ohio. Apparently, Mr. Naylor was formerly with Sho-Bud. Still more to learn for me. Thanks everyone!

MSA or not?

I listed the steel on ebay, got a few bids and a few questions. Then I got a message from someone who sounded knowledgable (more than me, PSG-wise) saying that this is not an MSA. That explains the unusual logo, and the block in the pedal bar. Well, I'll have to modify or cancel my ebay listing. Wha...

MSA Mini-Pro S-10 3+1

I believe this to be from 1969 or so. Great condition, would make a fine starter. I have it listed on ebay until Friday the 9th, but how about this: bid there, and I'll knock off 10% when you mention the forum. It'll be on your doorstep when you get home from Dallas! MSA 3x1

I was going to get pictures together and post my MSA Mini Pro in the for-sale column tomorrow, but I'll try to get them up today, and post one of the underside here for comparison. There are a few similarities (mine is green also, but not two-tone), but the mechanics seem pretty different.

Hi, all. I'm excited to post my first message here. I am re-learning the steel- did a brief stint for a couple of artists in the 80's; I'm primarily 6-stringing for a living. I got myself a couple of boookings in Canton so as to be near the New Phila. event and I can't wait! I'm proud to be a friend...
