I think I understand the issue with the sweep... With regard to the 'low profile', I'm assuming that's so that you have a good access to the knee levers.. But here's the thing - I'm short! So maybe a low profile pedal wouldn't be such a good thing for me. I'll have to try a few different pedals and ...

Thanks for that, guys. Twayn, I'm wondering is the EB Junior much different from the regular EB that I already have? Apart from the fact that the string is broken (but fixable ) I've been satisfied with it. But I've read posts here to the effect that it's not optimal design for pedal steel so I was ...

Ernie Ball volume pedal - string broke
Hi there, I bought this pedal used from a music store and really have only used it for a couple of weeks before the string broke! I'll be going back to the store but as a backup, I was wondering how easy is it to fix without messing up the feel of the pedal? Any tips would be much appreciated. Also,...

I'm assuming the E6 tuning is a third higher than the C6, not lower? I've been trying to figure out some of the Hank Williams licks on a 6 string C6 tuning (a few of the songs are in C I think) and I seem to be way up high on the neck, up at the second octave marking, where there's not much sustain....

Cashdollar dvd on 6 strings?
Hi there,
This may have been discussed before but I see that the Cindy Cashdollar instructional video uses an 8 string instrument. Does anybody know, can you use the video with a 6 string?
Thanks a bunch
Paul

E9th tuning for lap steel music
HI there, I'm thinking about purchasing an instrument, and, as far as I can figure out, some of the music I like most (e.g. Bob Wills and Hank Williams stuff) seems to have been played on a non-pedal steel in a sixth-based tuning of some kind. I think I saw a comment somewhere on the site to the eff...

Carry on luggage
Hi there, I was thinking about buying a Carter Starter in the US and bringing it back to Canada with me. I'll be down there on business. The thing is - I believe it comes in a gig bag, not a hard case, so I'm not sure how I'd get it back. Any chance of getting it on as carry-on? I'm thinking it's go...
