Delightful as always Roy! I remember the tune well ...and Jeremy is right ..Mason Williams was 'writer' for the Smothers Bros show..and often played guitar during musical interludes with them on their TV show from time to time. He made that tune a classic and you've embellished it wonderfully! Thank...

Wow Don, my story much like yours. When I got it from a music store in Arkansas, (found a listing online, called and negotiated price, and bought it 'right' ) I was bit disappointed in the sound, but the guitar (even though grimy/dusty in need of major cleaning & TLC) was in excellent condition....

Thanks Don, In answer to your question about Magnatone Lyric D-8, I only have one. It's a pristine one that has great sustain, got it about a year ago. It was dirty but showing very little wear or use. I cleaned, polished and restrung it. Came with case and legs, but I have it in my 'music room' (a ...

I'm like Kona Don, started early and vanished for awhile, early 50's. The Oahu Conservatory (or travelin' teachers) as I called it then. Even though I've been 'sorta-kinda-playing-steel'..for over 50 years, I'm just now beginning to learn and appreciate it in my 70th year. Here's 'the rest of the st...

A TUTORIAL for those having trouble saving (or downloading) Roy's songs. (For those using any version of MS Windows OS). I too struggled at first, but it works like this: 1. Go to Roy's hosting site, and click RIGHT on the words; Download Mp3, (NOT Stream) a box appears that gives you choices. 2. Cl...

Yep! Mp3 works on any 'media player' or Pc operating system. It's easy to download & save by putting cursor on the link or Mp3 button and do 'save as'. Also very universal! Real Player is a pain (it wants to take over your PC ..ugh!) My vote definitely for Mp3 format.Appreciate yours ...keep up ...

Yep, SCAM 'tis! Lots of this crapola going around ..sadly ..BEWARE! I use PayPal lots and get frequent scam attempts. NO legit service such as PayPal, ebay or (any other) would ask for SS#'s, PIN #'s or Passwords. If you get anything like that, Send the letters (forward) to proper authorities and NE...

WOW, Craig! You did it, thanks so much! It was one of the first 'serious songs' I learned from the 'traveling Oahu teachers' back in early 50's. One I could always play, even with time away from steel over the years, that and Steel Guitar Rag. Maybe I'm pushing that 'senior envelope' a little harder...
