Yeah, that's the way I did it but now after tuning the lower to G with B pedal and G# to F# lever both engaged my open G# is detuned and I can't figure out whats going on. It seems like I have to run my nylon nut for the lower in farther than before.

Help with split tuning on a Carter SD10

Is there anyone in the deep east Texas or Dallas or Houston area that can help me retune my split tuning on my Carter SD10. I've followed the instructions in the owners manual but it doesn't seem to work. Thanks.

Dwight's recording of "Johnson's Love" some years back was full of steel start to finish. Sorry, I don't know who the steeler was but he did an excellent job.

Well, I'm 56 years old and never having used any mind alter substances of any kind for recreational purposes I may not be as qualified as some to post here due to my lack of experiece. Having said that I will state first that I am certainly less than a mediocre steel player but i can truthfully say ...

Well, speaking for myself, I don't watch it. As for the CD buying public, we older guys don't buy them because the producers won't put out any music we like. I think if they would put out music we older folks like (I'm 55) I think they would be really surprised at how many CD's they would sell. We a...

Thanks for you reply Ricky.
I'll try to get some pictures this evening if I can figure out how to put them on here. Kinda new at this. If not, I'll get the answers to your questions.
Thanks for your help.

Yeah, I've got a Nashville 400 I bought new in 95. It's had a hum like that since day one. It's been back to the factory 3 times. It doesn't seem to hum when they check it at the factory. Guess some 400's have it and some don't.

Hey guys, I'm a new member and this is my first post but I'd like to put my two cents worth in on this subject. I agree with Eric in that I feel that songwriters and singers should be paid once per song. If a songwriter is paid each time one of his songs is recorded, how come the machine shops don't...
