thanks guys

Thanks for the encouraging words. I've had my steel for about 8 years. For a few of those years I bet I only played/practiced it a few times per year. Hopefully that will change now. I am finally really seeing progress which inspires me to practice more. I really need to work on my technique more th...

Ok, I know I'm not very good, but here is my attempt at The Old Rugged Cross, and my first video post here on the forum. Constructive criticism welcome!

Split Tuning... What is it?

Ok, dumb question. I see steel guitars with 'split tuning' on them. What is split tuning and it's advantages? Thanks in advance.

Don't knock til ya try it

I'm actually using my Behringer keyboard amp as a backup right now as my NV112 is not working. Its got a 5 band EQ and I'm able to tone out the harshness. No it's not a NV112, but it's definitely a good backup, and the reverb sound good.

refund

Steven, I did basically the same thing last year. Ordered the previous release right before 2010 release came out. Called them up and they immediately sent me the new version once I sent them my receipt. (ordered from an online store)

Apparently the seller didn't have a clue on what it was worth. I think they are trying to work it out to match you gentlemen are recommending. You guys are great and I appreciate your input. My friend figured it was well overpriced be he had never priced them. Now he has some backing from you guys! ...

Emmons Legrande review and worth question

I have a good friend who has a chance to buy a 1990 or 91 model black Emmons Legrande. It's a double neck 8x6, model LD10L. He is kinda wondering about how much they are worth and did they have any issues to speak of. I think they are offering to him for approx. $8000. Any input would be appreciated!

Great service

Well, I bought the upgrade to the 2008.5 version Dec. 2 from Kelly Computers and Music. The day I got it I went to download the latest fixes on PGMUSIC.Com found that 2009 had come out. I emailed PGMUSIC and told them my dilemma and they said if I could prove I just bought it, they would send me the...

artist

I had one for a couple of years, and it had very good tone and stayed in tune better than any steel I've seen, it was a 3x2 and I sold for $850 to upgrade to a Rains. However, if I'd had the money I would have kept it and left it at church so I wouldn't have to haul it back in forth.

record yourself

I found when I had been playing a few years, I thought I was getting pretty good with a volume pedal, that is until I recorded myself. If you have the means to do so, record something you're comfortable playing and play it back. You might be suprised.
