I've got a S10 that I started out on, still have it. It was built by a fellow out of the Niagara area (I think) in the late 70's. His son posts on here once and awhile. Maybe he'll jump in if he see's this.

Well, I installed the 705, didn't have much choice, I've got to play this weekend. As Dwight Lewis said, it's got growl and bite. When I kick in my blues driver it just screams! Got some tweeking to do with the amp and stomp pedals for sure. I'll know better if I like it or not after playing on stag...

Derby Pickups

The pickup in my Derby (original) has gone microphonic and was wondering if anyone has replaced it with a 705? I realize this is subjective but I'm looking for some advice. I can get the 705 right away, otherwise I'll have to do the mail order route.
Thanks

Nice work. I remember the storm when the Fitzgerald sank as I lived in the Sault Ste Marie at the time. I also noticed you've played the Ranch and Corral, maybe we could meet up sometime as they are on my rotation.

Check out All State, here in Ontario, Canada they will insure gear on your homeowners policy with a rider. They do want receipts and or an appraisal. Our drummer has his gear insured with them, they say it's covered anywhere and they know he is a paid musician. It's about $70 for $10,000 coverage. F...

Track bleedover?

I'm trying to record an instrumental and I'm playing along with a midi drum loop to keep me in check. On playback of the steel track, with the drum track on mute, I can still hear it(drum track), it's just enough that I know it's there. I'm using Cubase SX and a Tascam us-122 interface. The only thi...

Hi Ken, The Leonard is an emmons set up. I play a D-10 Derby with an emmons set up thru a Nash 1000. I also use a few Boss stomp pedals when needed. I primarily just use guitar, volume pedal and amp, I try to keep things uncluttered and simple. Watch for an e-mail.

Welcome Ken, couldn't help but notice that you have a S-10 Leonard. I started out on one and still have it. It was a good one to learn on and how to make repairs. Enjoy this site, I sure do.

Have to add my 2 cents in. Played Last Date 2 weekends ago for the first time in public, ( I've been playing for 5yrs now) it went well and I was pleased. Last weekend I was asked to play it again. We had a different bass player and I was a little reluctant but went ahead anyways, yep, it was a trai...

Just wanted to say Hi. I've been on the sidelines looking in for a while, kinda felt like I was eaves dropping so I decided to join up. This is a great site and has helped me, so I may add my 2 cents once and a while.
