I'm not sure if you're Rains would fit. The interior dimensions are in the photo. (The photo with the dimensions is what I sent to the manufacturer when I ordered the case.) There is 1.5" of foam on the ends, so you could probably remove 1/2" from each end if you're Rains was longer, and y...

D-10 ATA lightweight flight case

These are great cases and have been recommended a few times here on the forum. They're made by Case Technology (casetechnology.com) out of Massachusetts. I used this case for a '73 Marlen D-10 that I flew with about 20 times, including many international flights. The case is about 2 years old, but i...

I'm going to try selling the flight case separately because most people seem to be happy with a standard case.

So, because I'm hoping to sell this guitar soon, the new price for the Marlen D-10 is $1400 plus shipping. That price includes the original Marlen case (not the custom flight case.)

I think my Marlen is blushing. Thanks for all of the nice comments. It is a great looking and sounding instrument. Duncan; the set-up is pretty much standard on both the E9 and C6. I forgot to mention that in addition to the flight case, I also have the original 1973 Marlen case (complete with leopa...

Vintage 1973 Marlen D-10

For sale: A 1973 Marlen D-10 (8x4) built by the great Leonard Stadler. I'm downsizing to an S-10 for a lighter, more airline friendly guitar. The warm tone of this Marlen is unbeatable, though. It was set up by Marlen expert, Ricky Davis several months ago, and has played great ever since. The guita...

5,6,7% of the body weight may not seem like a lot, but that can easily mean the difference between 49 and 51 lbs, which means a ton when you're flying a lot with your steel. Those airline fees really start to add up.

have '73 Marlen D-10 w/flt case, want S-10 w/fc

I have a beautiful, burgundy-red 1973 Marlen D-10 with a custom light-weight flight case. Recently set-up by Ricky Davis. Want to downsize to a Pro S-10. Marlen D-10 will be for sale or trade when I return from this next tour (2nd week of Sept.) Following tour starts early October, so I have a small...

I have to disagree with all of you. I had never played pedal steel before I bought my Little Buddy about 8 months ago. I learned entirely on the Little Buddy. Recently I upgraded to a Marlen D-10. I am now playing pedal steel with a very successful band touring the US, Europe and Australia! The Litt...

1973 Marlen D-10 / trade or sell for S-10

8 and 4. Great condition. Ricky Davis told me this is a 1973 based on the serial. Single-finger pull-release. I'll be doing a lot of touring this fall (flying) and this is much more instrument than I need. I'm looking for an S-10 3x4. If anyone can give me some insight as to what a '73 Marlen D-10 i...
