I own a D10 Franklin 074#

What a fine fine instrument,

I just tested it Marty You can hear the 6th string drop a wee bit then it gets corrected to pitch after the A pedal is fully pressed, Really works well, My other guitar is a Franklin which is pretty slick and easy to play and I can go between it and the LL3 , no problem, pedal action is really good,...

Bob , I think you had or have a Legrande
3?

Any comparison’s , any similar qualities?

Also have you had a few other Push Pull
Emmons?
Is the new one your fave of the bunch?

Thx

Really nice too Greg, soulful playing by Mike,

I don't even have it on a guitar right now, but I do like the pedal quite a bit,

From what I understand Not all humbucking pick ups
Will work in a Legrande 111,
Because of the cabinet drop de tune mechanism ,
Curious myself as to which ones work?

Anyone know, or have experience with
Which ones work and don’t work?

I just did a song for an old Friend singer/producer type guy. I sent Two tracks , a Emmons Legrand 3 track, and a Franklin track, I kinda used it as my own experiment, Ironically, He picked the Emmons track, He liked the Franklin track as well. You never know, He felt the Emmons sat a bit nicer in t...

Its been my main pedal steel amp for 4 years, The Diaz modded Fender Vibroverb's make great steel amps , as they are louder and beefier than the originals, Big iron in them , you have the choice of solid state rectifier or tube , with a switch, Pretty cool amp for guitar too, surprising amount gain ...

It really is a great Cd, had it a week now,, just get it.

Musicality from all the players is just killer ,and songs are stellar,

Travis on all the instruments that he plays, is pretty amazing.

"Lock the door" and "Adrianna's song", are my favourite .

Your welcome, On that song ,That banjo solo is epic,as well as your steel playing, if that's the kind of stuff thats rolling around, pretty awesome, the arrangement is complex. I can really see or hear you going into Tim Miller or Allan Holdworth type chording as well, I think Tim Miller is in some ...

Thanks for the comps. I cut the samples on 1965 Emmons wraparound. Just an old guitar I have laying around the house here... nothing special.

Off topic but.....
That guitar sounds a lot like Jim Loessbergs to my ears,
Thx for posting the clips and samples.

Herb,

Now that we are on those old Emmons guitars

Is Jim Loessberg's Emmons around that era as well ? 65?

That guitar has a very unique sound to me as well, very transparent ,

I think Buddy is the main tree trunk of the modern pedal steel , but I also think guys like Paul and Tommy are big branches off the trunk, and have taken it to new levels of exploring, I think both those guys have their own sound, no doubt about it. Buddy played with so much heart and soul, he was a...

Thx Dave, I guess I'm just curious if the full tone stacked 12ax7 50 or89 watt are more for power,

I have heard a few clips with octal pre amp with bass & treble control too ,

Curious what Octal pre's bring to the table thats maybe a bit different, for pedal steel guitar,

Owners! Little Walter amp question?

Any thoughts on whether the Octal pre amp is better sounding than the 12AX7 preamp?

I don't need a loud amp, just mostly for home recording, tracking etc,

Thx in advance.
