re:Jacl

Me and Tommy gigged a lot with Jack. Every gig he burned up the guitar, sang his heart out and sawed that fiddle smooth in half. The only thing that even starts to fill this hole in my heart is to remember all the fun we had and the great music we made. He will be greatly missed. =-(

I should make the correction...my guitar is not a Rittenberry, but rather a custom built...Gary only worked on the undercarrage and the changer... but it's still smooth as silk.

Hey Roger,
I know you'll love this guitar. Gary did mine a couple of years ago...the mechanics are right on! I'm a little partial to the color scheme too! :-)

I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine!

Have a great day,
Rick

Walter Haynes told me when Jimi was in the Service he spent some time in Nashville and every chance he got he hung around Owen's studio and picked Grady's brain. He certainly knew where to find the great ones!!

I wonder if, in 1968, musicians were still arguing about whether some popular musician of the 1920's was any good or not. :\
I would say yes they did...unless they were to stoned to remember :-)

And BTW he didn’t use a fuzz box, just true distortion, harmonics, a vox wah and a phase shifter. He DID certainly use a fuzz. Two, actually: A Fuzz Face and an Octavia (fuzz-generated high-octaver). I suppose it depends on which performance he was doing...when I saw him in Norman Olka. a few month...
