DeWitt Scott PSG Method Book No CD

I picked up a brand new PSG Method Book by DeWitt Scott the last time I went to Elderly Instruments. It's missing the CD that goes in the back of the book, and unfortunately the last page of the book is stuck to the glue that at one held the CD. Anyway, I got it for $13 because of the CD missing, an...

Bob, you are a lifesaver. Thanks so very much. I'm going to sing this next Tuesday and was beginning to panic that I'd never get all the words to it. Thanks again, Joy This can be closed now.
[This message was edited by J...

Hi Ulla, Wow, this is great news! What a wonderful debut for you. I've revisited your site and I see that the number of visitors keeps climbing, but not many sign your guestbook...what a shame. I'll bet that several of your anonymous visitors are steelers from this forum. I hope they will begin to t...

Michigan Fiddlers Meeting in April

Hi, I'm putting this under "MUSIC" because this is not a steel related announcement. The Michigan Fiddlers will be meeting on April 15th, 2006 at the Maple Leaf Grange, 7600 Assyria Rd., in Nashville Michigan. That's 5 miles south of Nashville on M66. The meet starts at 2:00pm - 5:00pm, su...

Listenin' to the Wind Lyrics?

Hi. I need the full lyrics to Merle Haggard's "Listenin' to the Wind". I know the music for it already, just don't have entire lyrics. I've searched all over the internet, and couldn't find them there either. Any help is appreciated, thanks..... Joy<font size="1" color="#8e2...

Hi Leila Great thing for getting under your strings is one of those long fuzzy things that music shops carry for cleaning out (drying, actually)spit from a horn...yes, sounds gross, but people that play horns have to do that. Anyway, this thing is about a foot long, and fuzzy, made out of soft cotto...

Hi Dom, What a great chart. I've printed it off, it'll come in really handy. Thanks for sharing it with us, I appreciate it. That's a nice website you have too. I snooped around in it while I was pilfering(sp)(spelling police please don't come after me about this!!) the chart off of it. Thanks again...

Eddie Alkire Lot

Hi. Wasn't sure where to post this, but I know many of you like Eddie Alkire sheet music. This is a big lot of it on Ebay, but the seller has spelled Alkire...Alkine...so it doesn't show up in a search under Eddie's name. Not even in the description search because seller doesn't mention the name, so...

Hi Charles, be careful of taking quinine IN ANY FORM until you ok it with your doctor. With your history of stroke, you may be taking medications that quinine will NOT interact with well. Even certain over the counter antacids can be dangerous to take along with quinine. Especially if you're on a bl...

Let's just be sure that we don't crucify RR because of an article about him. Just recently there was a thread about an "interview" regarding Steinar Gregertsen and his promotion of a certain guitar...which we all found out was untrue. Steinar's outrage at what was said in the interview was...

Well, I've been reading this and thought to let Steinar know that he needs to put a registered letter into Eric's hands. Signature required that he's received it. If he won't sign for it, you'll get a notice that he refused. So that way you have proof that you tried to give him formal, written, unqu...

Hi Jack...not sure this will help, probably a dumb idea of mine. But this site has a way (if you have a picture the right scale size of what you want)to make a water-slide decal at home on your printer. I have no idea how good they turn out. Just an idea. Good luck in your quest! http://www.bare-met...

Ok. I suppose this is a dumb newbie question, but something in the sellers description I don't understand? First he says it's a lap steel....ok....but then later he talks about (and has pictures)of pedals. I don't understand? Is this a pedal steel, or a lap steel? Or both? I honestly have never hear...

Oh nice. Aren't the wound stings in the middle so that you can tune above them in one tuning, and below them in a different tuning, utilizing some of the middle strings in both tunings?

Cool piece!

Hi John, Well, I didn't know Mr. Billey, but thought I'd let you know that the barn you spoke of in Michigan..the Redfield Barn, is still there. It's in Howell, Michigan. I believe it's considered a historical site now. I used to live only about 25 miles from there, so I've seen it. Supposed to be o...
