Oh boy. As if you cannot play anything else on the pedal steel other than country. Imagine that buddy Emmons jazz album then. I despise this brand of narrow minded rabble. I just heard Wills beautiful album and I'm so glad somebody is ready to step clear of pedal steel cliches without posing or over...

Aussie steelers

Well Ben you know me... JEM S-10, Emmons P/P, Maton silvertone twin neck, Fender studio deluxe, Wayne Amplyphone, Peaveys Artist and Special 130 and soon to be playing an old Fender S-10 - 4 of these guitars were formerly played by the late great Stormin Normin Bodkin.

Buddy's Steel Jazz album

Can anybody tell me who the musicians on the '63 Steel Jazz album were and what the song titles and order of the tracks are. My copy is coverless. It is an extraordinary jazz album. That rhythm section is as good as it gets.<font size="1" color="#8e236b"><p align="center&quo...

how many custom limited-run steels being used ?

Over here in Australia, a US steel is not something you can walk into a shop and buy. The one I gig with is a one of 20 JEM S-10. It looks like an Emmons but works more like a Sho-bud There's no production line muck-metal here. Lot's of machined aluminium and bulletproof construction. It's heavy tho...
