Steel Player on "Walking After Midnight"

Thanks for all who responded and provided info.

Anyone have the string set up for E6. I play a 10 string E9th neck. Old Domland D10, 10 floors, 3 knees.

Steel Player on "Walking After Midnight"

Anyone know who played steel on that Patsy Cline song? Was it C6 on 8 strings?

Thanx,

Domland D-10

John, I would really like to see some photos of the underside of your steel, if you have a digital camera. I would like to add another knee to mine and see if it is possible to do a couple of lifts. Feel free to send any photos you can to my email. rwoods4108@yahoo.com Roger Woods [quote="John ...

Domland D-10 10 Floors, 3 Knees. Pickin' and Grinnin'

I play a Domland D-10.. This thing is right big and heavy but once I adjust the rear legs on stage it is solid. I got it in the early 1980's for $400. It has E9th and C6th necks. Ten floors, three knees. 7 pedals control C6, 3 for E9. When I got it someone had wired it non-stereo or what ever that w...

Forgot to mention a problem that I do have now and then. Sometimes I have to remove the program and reload it. Once I tried simply reloading a program over top of the current one. Did not solve the problem until I removed the program and reloaded from scratch. It has happened with Winamp. Another gl...

I have the same problem when I open Winamp the day after I have been listening. Just did so and the program kept searching but could not bring it up.

I go online to Scotty's site and click on the play icon. Works well, then.

Asleep At the Wheel performed in (Baltimore) Dundalk, MD this evening. The band was real tight. Ray mentioned they are heading for Willie's Picnic. They had a new singer that Ray said joined them the last month or so. Elizabeth McQueen, if I got her name right. If you get to the Picnic make sure you...

Ed, Wish I was in the area. Would drag down my pedals, lead, and bass to an audition. Listened to a bunch of songs at the web page. Hell of a singer and great band! My kind of music even though I is an old dude who started playing the bars in 1957. I is probably way too old for the band, but it neve...

Old Dude Baltimore, MD Picker Needed?

I'm an old dude who started playing the bars in Baltimore in 1957 when I was 19. Played here until 1973 when I left the state. Been back a couple of years and going to Pop's Tavern now and then. One joint I never did play was Stabile's. Stopped by a couple of times since I been back. Spent a good am...

Thanks, Will, for the info. I'll have to read up on Firewall and see if my computer will work with it. I just looked at the connections the computer has. It does not have a pcmcia (?) card slot, the network connection screen lists a wireless connnection, a local WAN, and another local with Realtek. ...

I downloaded n-track for use at the Slabs when I get there this Fall. Did so a couple of days ago, and have looked it over a bit but need to go page by page through the pdf manual and learn how to use it. Did a lot of 4-track reel-to-reel recording of our local band performances years ago. But, I kn...

First time I met Bobbe. Back in the late 80’s or 90’s, memory gone to hell lately, might be the cheap beer and too many Philly Titan cigars, I was coming back from doing some picking with the Texas Outlaw Band from east Texas. A year or so later, we did one of them “Governor for a Day” deals in Aust...
