I own a small business and although I do not build guitars what I do is similar to the manufacturing process. In order to do a professional and precise job (which is necessary for a musical instrument) you need to have the proper equipment which is very expensive. CNC machines are at least $9000 and...

Tom Morrells' Bigsby is a Triple 10 but he only had two of the necks strung up. If you go to Ricky Davis' website www.mightyfinemusic.com/ and then click on house of wood, you will see many great guitars as well as a Triple 10 Sho-Bud non-pedal.

Thank you for the compliments George. Elva is great to deal with. I was very specific in what I wanted and he built for me exactly what I wanted. It is a great feeling when a person/builder/artist such as Elva West listens and is exact in the finished product. In a way, he read my mind.

I am not speaking for Jerry Byrd nor anyone else but I read about that “story” in a book years ago so please do not take what I write as total fact for it is from a distant memory. What was written in the book told of a group of musicians talking backstage at the Grand Old Opry after Hank Williams d...

I have read nothing but high praise about Mr. West and his guitars. I would like to see some photos of his work and am asking if any forum members w...
