Based on the Harmony-Central reviews, Eric Brown is probably too busy repairing the shoddy workmanship and cheap hardware of his other customer's guitars to finish Steinar's. Can you spell ADD. Or maybe bi-polar?

Mr. Lawson, I'm going to miss your playing on Saturday evenings on WDVR. My wife, my son, and I went to the show at the Stockton NJ Firehouse on the 10th and heard Ted and the gang. We loved it.
[This message was edited by...

EGACEG "C6" Tuning on 21" scale

Would using lo to hi EGACEG tuning be detrimental to a newbie steel player. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I should be safe (tension-wise) using the JagWire C6 strings from b0b since the scale length of the Artisan is so short (21"). ------------------ Carvin V220-Artie Lap Steel-Marshall...

Let us know when they're back. My Red Rajah arrived a couple of days ago. I haven't had a chance to try it since my Artisan is still in pieces while I'm re-arranging the electricals. What were they thinking!?!

I love your tone (and playing) in this piece. What kind of guitar and amp did you use? And did you roll off the treble with the tone control. I am in the process of rewiring my Artisan (Carvin S60 single coil pickups are NOT drop in replacements) And I was going to leave out the tone control. The la...

Nut Material for Artie

Hopefully the new pickup for my Artisan will arrive this week and I can rewire the innards. My next change is going to be the nut. It's not grooved evenly. Is aluminum a good choice? Or is brass better? Or synthetic? I get the feeling that the bridge is probably the biggest offender in tone hamperin...

I work for the USPS. Italy has possibly the longest list of prohibited items. Canada is probably the most persickety as far as having the proper forms etc. PS: I just received my Artisan and Dunlop 919 two days ago. It's going to have a crackly-tone-control-ectomy next week after the clearance sale ...
