can't add much to whats been said,,but playing in frount of a great player/teacher or live gig always tightens my playing up,,no excessive bar shaking,,no over pumping the volume pedal,,been practicing with no volume pedal lately ,,

i thought i was the only one with a suck o meter,,one day i say i'm getting pretty good,,then the next day can.t hit anything,,it's a humbling instrument,,i wonder if any normal/ non musician has any idea what it takes to be as good as the big boys,,,but for me it's fun,and it has to be,,if not i mi...

Could be a return spring problem, i would tighten the spring a little at a time 1/4 turn or so, if that's not it, you can always put it back, i had the same problem on my 6 string lower,,i tighten mine as much as i could,,still does it every now and then, sometimes you might have to shorten the spri...
