Rickenbacker 1950s Bakelite MINT
Early 1950's bakelite which has the string thru body style of the pre war era. They made a few of them in the early 50's as well. Mine is mint condition and drop dead gorgeous. The finest I have ever seen. The magnet was recharged and the pot replaced with new CTS pots as the old ones were frozen fr...

Rickenbacher bakelite 1949-50 6 string mint! New price $900
This is a super clean never played bakelite panda rickenbacher. Someone was cool enough to post that the fliptop tuner cover indicates the year. There are no chips or cracks. There are new tuners on the guitar(I am pretty sure i have the old ones in case you want them). This guitar comes with the or...

The pickups are the original trapezoid pickups. the guitar looks so much more like surf or shell pink than the pics show. Its not bright but more like the shell pink color you would see on the old 60s reissue japanese strats. http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix0912/4747_steel_1_1.jpg http://bb.st...

fender D8 SOLD
I have two steels for sale or trade. I am looking for a nice archtop or a reasonable amount of cash so I can buy an archtop. 1950s Fender D8 refinished in Shell pink. weird but looks nice. Tuners are slotted so this one stays in tune. Electronics are all new i think, the pickups are original. really...

http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix0812/4747_guits_1.jpg Did someone mention an esquire with a Lollar CC pickup?? The route job was pretty easy considering it already has a route for a tele pickup in it. Mine sounds fantastic! I want to put one in a steel too but I have to save some cash to repl...

Dynalap 8 string Model#01
This is the same model #01 as on the dynalap website. I completed the guitar exactly as you see in the website photo except that I used gold gibson reissue Les Paul knobs. The guitar sounds nice and plays well. The TrueTone pickup has great tone. The string spacing is pretty close to a regular guita...

I finally got a Rick Bakelite a month or so ago. It took me about 3 months worth of gigs to save up for it. It is the one guitar I will never sell. As long as musicians like good tone, they will maintain value. I am in my mid 30s, I am not sure what our generation is called---I think at one time som...

Mike's Jazz CD is smokin! Probably one of my favorite contemporary jazz CD. Its got the feel and tone of classic players like Wes and Joe Pass, and its damn refreshing. Dave, I really like the Leroy's Swing CD. I can't get enough of the gypsy jazz. You played fine at Green Bay--I think I have the Bi...

I love what you did to that Dynalap. I got the same one about 2 weeks ago. I threw it together in about a half an hour and started playing it. At first I thought it was a little bulky, but I got used to it real fast. It's the steel that I play around the house all day. My 2 daughters don't mind pick...

(Please Close, Thanks) WTB Rickenbacker electro steel
I have a real nice bakelite that I will never take to gigs. I am looking for a steel bodied electro or something similar with the horseshoe pickup. Doesn't matter if its a beater, as long as its reliable and sounds good. I would also like a doubleneck Ricky too.

I work at a high school and teach Chemistry. Between classes I throw on anything from Charlie Parker to Tom Morrell to Joe Pass to Wayne Hancock to Johnny Burnette. I find that a lot of kids like music and really dig some of the stuff I play---the problem is that they never heard it before. The kids...

Jody, Your playing has been an inspiration and your comments on the SGF are both informative and entertaining. I can't wait to get some further insight about the Fender story.
