Ole, you’re right - no Wrights on iTunes. (on Mac, either)
It was for sure in the iTunes Music Store some time ago.
I just went to buy it, but they must have taken it of for sale in Europe??? Jeppe

Hi Chris I’m not mainly a dobroman. I bought myself a Regal (I think it’s called RD 45) just to try the dobro out. Then put a quarterman cone, a bone nut (or try a steel raised), and a hardwood saddle, and decent tensioned strings,.... and wauvvvv what an improved sound!! At least for a period back ...

Henry You really got a great jazz steeler in Europe. My Man here is Richard Nelson, Ireland. I heard him play Coltrane’s Favourite Things, Monk,Wayne Shorter, + standards with almost hornlike lines backed by jazz trio. Some solos bebopped and some really funky stuff too. Ohh, some jazz horn things s...

Douglas, I’m sorry and mad to hear about it. It’s a beautiful steel with the very destinctive Zum-look, so I’ll keep an eye open for ya on what is put up for sale in Europe!
Hope you find a substitute, comforting though them Zums are born with the ability to learn your licks! Jeppe

Nashville Skyline Rag. Who plays steel_

I just love that little simple pedal steel solo on Bob Dylans Nashville Skyline, 1969 with Johnny Cash.

Does anyone know who played pedal steel on this little instrumental? Jeppe

Enjoyed to see it went so well.
Who knows, in the future you might attract us Wikings.
Down for a little steelin’ and skiing, or what about steelin’ and drinkin’ burgundy. Impressive work you’re putting in for steel playing in Europe!! Jeppe

I realized that the Zumsteel was not that prominent in the pictures of Torben, so here’s one of the guitar itself.

But, you know, the man behind the instrument, his experience, his ideas, still is the main thing.

Terry Forgive my ignorance, but I must have seen reference to your name somewhere, more as a player...? ..building his own guitars? ...and then pops up a guitar in Ireland? ...in jazz music? That sounds like a good story, please tell us!! Just a rough outline of your music career etc., and what stee...

Richard Nelson’s Bethel Steel

A few pictures from a concert in Copenhagen with Richard Nelson from Ireland, a fantastic concert backed by a trio from the Danish Radio Bigband, the kind of concert that we don’t get to Denmark so often. If you see this Richard, thank you again for a good one, yooouu, ’Round about Midnight. And wha...

Hi Torben With all the gigs you play, you must be one of the busiest around’ in Denmark; you really deserved a "one of a kind steel" to match you! I heard you get carried away with that one, your tone, your style, woaww. Thank you for that beautiful day and your hospitality, I’ll never for...

Interesting discussion Larry, I perfectly understand your concern about dealing with a guy as far away as Denmark. Of course, I couldn’t say weather or not you can trust him. But one thing for sure; it’s extremely difficult for us to get hands on a pedal steel guitar in Denmark. The US is the closes...
