Preferred Effects Unit Addition to Nashville 400?

Seems to be a trend back to 'stomp box' FX pedals . . .

Suggestions on current model FX units? Rack/Table Top or Floor?

Years back I used the Peavey Tube-Flex I think it was called.

Do most route the FX unit through FX Send/Return on rear or use the front Input?

Thanks,

Billy

Mullen G2 SD-10 E9

Looking for a like-new SD10 w/ pad E9, either 3+4, 3+5 or a 4+4. I would also consider a Williams 700, GFI Ultra or Mullen G2.

Thx,
Billy

Mullen G2 SD-10 E9 Blue or Red

Thinking about buying a Mullen G2 SD-10 E9 in Red or Blue. OR Similar Williams 700? OR Similar GFI Ultra? Suggestions? I typically prefer a somewhat short pedal/knee travel. As most I assume, smooth action and out of the case with minor tune-up/adjustments required to play gig. Weight matters IF cas...

Rack Multi-Effects Units That Are Available Today?

Rack Multi-Effects Units That Are Available Today? Preferred models? I have used a Peavey Tube Flex with a Nashville 400 for years but Tube Flex are getting hard to find, etc! So, I'm looking around for a newer model FX unit that is still in production. I'm getting a new Quilter Steelaire so why not...

GFI Ultra PSGs verses others?

Considering a GFI DB E9 10 String Ultra. Lighter weight good but this worries me as well. Does it feel shifty or unsettled? Cabinet drop or tuning issues? Smooth pedal movement? I would like to play one but in SE Georgia, I know of none around. Opinions on the Ultra? I loved my DB ZUM and the DB Der...

Sho Bud LDG Green Lacquer w/ Pad, 3+4

Looking for a Sho Bud Lacquer Green LDG E9 Pedal Steel, 3+4. I understand that the later models of the LDG had some upgrades, which would be good. Must be the Lacquer Green finish. BTW: Anyone have the Tab on Ain't Going Nowhere by The Byrds. Who played the steel on that session, LG or BE. Also Some...

I actually got a little lucky and used a triangular file to dress-out the damaged threads. Yea, the pipe was not bent or damaged so it all worked out great! So now, if moving my ABC pedal starting position over 1 space helps me out, I'm ready to start playing the Green Derby again. The steel appears...

Jerry and others, I think it's the 7/8-27 as well. I re-counted threads and re-measured. The legs only have 1/2" of threads so I had to count and multiply by 2 to get TPI.

Thanks for everyone's help.

I do count ~ 24 TPI and diameter measures 3/4", so if I am accurate its a 3/4-24 UNF machine thread. Like you say, and I agree, it's a straight machine thread. Re-counting 1/2" of threads (~12) suggests 24 TPI. The diameter does measure 3/4" using outside calipers. I think 3/4-24 UNF ...

Derby Leg Pipe Thread Size?

Hello All, I know the leg to body is a male thread 1/2"-13 but what is the bigger outer pipe-like thread size? It appears to be a ~1/2" pipe but ~32 TPI Straight. Is this correct? What do you think? Yep, I did get the 'Green' Derby back again. It's a very nice, very clean, not used much Gr...

Hello All, My black BMI S10 E9 3+4 is For Sale at $900.00 + S&H from Zip 30458. I have reworked it over the last several years, and is good steel on stage or an excellent student steel. I installed a few BMI improvements purchased from BMI. It has great single coil tone with very minor tuning an...

I understand the difference in Emmons and Day setup. What I am referring to is a difference in the starting position of the first floor pedal in some few of the earlier Derbys.

Thansk,

Did Derby change the ABC pedal starting position?

hello All, It looks I am getting the Green Derby SD-10 E9 3+4 back. My friend is not using it, so he's passing it back this way. When I used it last, the position of the ABC pedals were not in the position that they are manufactured currently. I understood that Derby did build a few with the shifted...

Lee, I added an upgrade to my BMI, that allows for weaker but longer return springs. It's basically a dog-leg (L) shaped bracket that extends the return spring anchor point out under the hex tuners about 1/2". It helped the over playing. Don will mostly have one for sale or I could make for you...
