Back in the 80`s, Bandy had a set of twin brothers in his band…drums and guitar…Gary and Greg Faile. What became of them..?

I'm listening to a Jimmy Newman album from 1970 - it's titled "Country Time" and it has non-pedal steel all over it. Wonder who's playing..

The Buckaroos: Boot Hill
I found a used copy of The Buckaroos LP Boot Hill - with no steelplayer listed. That is, Emmons is listed as guest steeler on Cajun Steel Guitar. Buck was without steelplayer for a period of time when he carried a banjo player in the band - but this LP is before that - and it features both Doyle Hol...

Mel Tillis sideman...?
I was listening to a Mel Tillis "Live from Gilley's" transcription today. It's from the mid 80's and Tillis didn't have a steel in his band - at least not at this show. He don't introduce the band, apart from one picker, who sings a couple of songs with him. And he only introduces him as &...

Jimmy Day - All Those Years
I just spent a few days in Brussels (oh that good Belgian beer), and I picked up a decent copy of Jimmy Day's "All Those Years" album for 2,50 Euro - somewhere around 3.00 $. A few scratces, but nothing, that Cool Edit won't take care of. Will someone please tell me, when this album was re...

The Offenders: Jimmy Day instrumental
I'm listening to The Offenders CD: "Can't Get the Hell Out of Texas", and track # 2 is a steel instrumental by Jimmy Day, listed as "Linda on My Mind". But the song is NOT "Linda on My Mind" - I have heard the song before, but can't recall the title. Can anyone around h...

Are you sure, that Mel Street recorded this song. Acording to this site:
http://www.lpdiscography.com/
he never had this song on a single or album.
But Josh Logan recorded it - and he sounds a lot like Street. And there's versions by James Segrest and Ted Roddy as well.
