Just got it set up in my dorm room finally. Had to loft the bed to have enough room, but it was worth it. Still don't have everything connected, once I got here I realized I forgot to bring enough 1/4" cables, so I'm gonna be making a trip to the music store here soon. http://bb.steelguitarforu...

I agree that the Steel can be more versatile than just playing country. I am a Freshman in college (Ball State), and I'm going to start playing Steel this weekend (this is my second attempt at learning, but the first attempt lasted about a week). I certainly don't plan on sticking on one genera, but...

Couldn't you use Finale (computer program) to make the midi and then use clic tab to convert the midi to tab? Although this way (if it works) would cost some money.

I think what the 500 has is a bi-amp signal available for amplification at other amplifieers, such as a PA system. I think all internal signals which are amplfied to speaker levels are sent to the one speaker.

I belive the CS800 is bi-ampable if it has the optional crossover installed. It should be a large silver can, simialr to a filter capacitor.

I was always under the impression that you had to have an amplifier with bi-amp, or tri-amp capabilties in order for them to maximize the use of the different range of speakers. The low tones are sent to the bass speakers, the mid ranges to another type speaker, and the very highs to tweeters, which...

Jeff, if you want to know bad enough to take the amp apart, you can look at the op/amps, the little square, black colored, componets that have numbers one them. The original ones are 5532's and the modified ones will be 2604's, if they have the Peavey Modification. This number will show on top of th...

I have the course you are talking about, although it is not for sale. I bought mine from the Emmons booth at St. Louis a long time ago. According to the information on the front of the package, Emmons Guitar Co. owns the copyright from 1972. I would expect that would be the place to find it, unless ...

I use the old Boss DM2 and I highly recommend it. I have three rack units including Lexicons, but none of them sound as good to me. If I were using two amps, I might like the Lexicon MPX1 rack unit better, but I seldom ever take two amps anymore, it's just not worth it to me. I think Boss effects ar...

I too watched the show, and was shocked when he mentioned not liking what Lloyd and the session players did to his song. Not everyone loves steel guitar like most of us, so I don't think it was a put down on Lloyds abilities at all, as much as his dislike for the steel guitar in general. I'm sure if...
