Looks interesting. Of the 3 major BSD versions Open BSD tries to focus on security. FreeBSD is very stable and handles heavy loads (like high bandwidth servers). There is also pcBSD that tries to be a little more desktop friendly. It sounds like KARL is coming to FreeBSD on the next release 11.1 sni...

That exploit was in one of tentacles of the octopus called SystemD , a started by a couple of Red Hat Linux developers that think the thing to do is make all linux distributions alike. Gary, here is a link to a PDF copy of the original MSA owners manual. The new and the old MSAs are basically different companies. If you need parts check out Michael Yahl's website http://www.psgparts.com/ for MSA as well as other brand parts.

I wouldn't. I've had my 76 D10 MSA Lacquer for about ten years now. Never played C6 for several years, Eventually I started experimenting on C6. Until then I just laid a small towel over the pickup area to protect the strings (and my arm). My guitar just sets at home, so I don't have the problem of ...

The sensible thing to do is leave windows forever. Microsoft knows how to write a better operating system. Years ago the marketed Xenix, a Unix clone for business purposes. I think they licensed the Unix source code to do it. Windows has never been a secure operating system, and apparently they don'...

I started out back in the 90s with Red Hat, I've tried Suse, Gentoo, Slackware, Knoppix (one of the early live cds), Ubuntu and then Debian ( which Ubuntu, Mint, and a bunch of other distros are based on) I stayed with Debian since the early 2000s, But lately have started using a derivative of Debia...

Actually, Open Office started on Linux as a fork From Stsroffice, and then came a Windows version. Libre Office is a fork of Open Office due to some disagreement on the open source license. I believe Libre office is also available for windows. Other great Programs that are available for both OSs are...

As I said there are a few programs that I boot into Windows to use because the Linux equivalent does not do want I need. But for most everything else, Linux works for me. I run it Linux o...

I've been running Linux since the late 90's. Currently running a derivative of Debian Jessie called Devuan. I had right hip replaced (Anterior) in 2011. No problems playing PSG. With the procedure you had, there is less damage done to the muscles. The only problem that I have, is I can't quite get my foot up on the opposite leg to put my shoes on in the morning. The doctor said there was less chance of di...
