Fred was gracious enough to allow this no-name picker to perform in one of his shows! As I remember I played for him at his home previous to the show to prove I could actually play a steel guitar. Great fellow!

Bonnie Lou, of Midwestern Hayride and WLW radio fame back in the 50's, has left this life. Bonnie was a fine singer and entertainer and I have had the pleaure of steelin with her. She lived 91 years.

Bobbie told me the late Rich Morris and myself were very early customers of his store in very early 80's. He loved Rich and I and never failed to let us know. The love was mutual.

Being a Tubb band member then mov ing on to a solo career, Cal had one of country music"s smoothest voices. Very pleasing to listen and hear the pure country feeling Cal exhaled. Another great loss in our world of country music.

If you wish your floor pedals to be raised and the adjusting rod has no thread left, buy one inch square 2 sided velcro pads and apply to top of desired pedal. No harm when removed and gives "raised" pedal effect with no change in action. Try it!
