I started on a Sho-Bud Pro II Custom... great Steel Guitar no question BUT it's a beast to haul around because in the case it is easily heavier than a Twin Reverb, LOL. This past November I got a Stage One pedal steel from Doug Earnest in Branson, MO and couldn't be happier. Plays & sounds great...

Live in London is still playing on the car stereo every time I've gotten in my car for just over a week now and it's so much fun and so enjoyable to listen to... real Country. Dale's "Carrying On" came in the mail a couple of days ago and I'm waiting on the right time to listen to it... bu...

Thanks so much for the video clip… so cool. Nice looking Lap Steel, it sounds excellent and was real effective, changed things up in a good way. What tuning? After Live in London came in the mail I put my dog, Elvis, in the car and we took a ride to Piermont, NY to a nice walking path on the Hudson ...

Dale Watson “Live in London” with Ricky Davis… A+

Just want to take a minute to send my compliments to Ricky Davis regarding his work on Dale Watson’s “Live in London 2002” album… pure Country with a little tinge of Rockabilly and the slightest touch of Jazz here and there. I just got it this past Monday from Amazon and it put a smile on my face ri...

From the looks of things you guys are using the desk top Peterson/Strobe unit. I was planning on getting the Stompbox version (StroboStomp HD) although the Desktop version would be nice because eliminates the need for cords. When tuning with the Desktop unit where do you place it and will the inter...

Nice to hear different approaches to the same piece and both cuts are really enjoyable. I like how you started off the solo in octaves then went to sustained single notes that overlap one another… nice touch.

I just received my Stage One PSG and Volume Pedal from Doug two weeks ago... the association with Zum and a sticker never played into my choice, I bought the Stage One sight unseen based on the reputation of Doug and his guitars... I've only ever heard good things about, Stage One, Encore, and most ...

Ray, if you are OK without the arm rest that good. I was playing a BMI S10 without one for a good bit of time and adjusted to it OK. Your seat position is different and closeness to the pedals. Still prefer my SD10s for comfort. Being closer to the pedals is actually taking a little more getting us...

I picked up a Peavey TKO 65 for $100 at GC last month. It is in decent condition although two pots are scratchy but you have to expect it from a mid 80's amp. I'll remove the head from the cab and hopefully contact cleaner will do the trick. Also picked up a late 80's/early 90's Teal Stripe Peavey E...
