Larry Bell is one of the best steel players I have ever heard.... and I've heard a few during my 50 years of pickin. He is also a friend who has time for others. Don't miss a chance to hear him. I recommend his album "Friends In Cold Places" which can be purchased on his website.

Scott, I saw Marty a few years ago. He was working with a lead guitar, bass and drums. No steel. The music was so loud it re-arranged my hair.

I use a MPX 110 in my rack. It is the quietest fx unit I have tried. I also like the ability to change some settings without reprogramming. Long live the old fashioned knob. I am sold on Lexicon.

The MX 200 and MPX 200 are two different creatures. The MPX 200 doesn't allow much variation in the settings without programing it. You could try the delay and edit the time to about 150ms and a level that sounds good. Then you could program and store several variations of level. That would allow yo...

The band I recall working with Carl in the mid 1950s was:
Steel: Johnny Seibert
Lead: Sammy Pruitt
Bass: Junior Huskey
Snare Drum w/brushes: Murray "Buddy" Harmon
To my knowledge, Buddy Harmon was the first drummer allowed on stage at the GOO.

The thing I notice most is the quality of a very expensive delay system which is adjusted to perfection.

Brian, if you are serious about owning a quiet generator, I think you would be wise to buy a 1kw-2kw, quiet model, rather than invest in a muffler. Honda ATV mufflers start at $200. I imagine their other mufflers are in the same price range. You may find what you want at "Northern Equipment Co....

The inverter will do the job if you can connect it to the battery in the vehicle that is towing the float (assuming the alternator is at least an 80 amp model). Mount the inverter close to the battery so you won't have to run long, huge battery cables. Run the AC extension cord from the inverter to ...

Try interchanging the two wires on the outside terminals of the (log taper)pot and wrap the string in the opposite direction. This may give the results you want without the labor of changing a pot.

Larry, the "shift control" is the reason the NV400 controls do not correspond to settings on other amps. Here is the description of the "shift" control, which I copied from the NV400 manual. -------------------------------- SHIFT CONTROL (7) The Shift Control has the ability to m...

Isaac, look at the options directly above the song title area. Click on ".wav". This opens a window which shows "render (save) using Roland vsc" . This option wll create a wav file in a matter of seconds, assuming you have installed "vsc".

Billy, I have not tried the MPX 1. The MPX 100 was replaced by the MPX 110. I have not found any difference between the 100 and 110. I am completely sold on the sound quality and lack of noise with the 100 and 110. I use delay, delay/flange and delay/chorus. I use a MPX 110 for playing gigs. I have ...

George, Jack brought up a good subject. I have been in the same boat when I listened to the same sound for a long time(without much sleep). It could very well be the "brain connected to the ears" syndrome or a plug of earwax. Attitude can change due to various factors such as too much time...

Yes, you may need to change position of knee levers. I put an extension on the inside of one of my levers. I can send a pic if you are interested and send your email address.

Andy, use the help section on the top menu. Select "topic search", find "Render audio to stereo wave file", click "display" at bottom of window. That should explain it.
