I just acquired a really nice sd 10 and I am trying to find the year built. I cant find a chart with the build dates of the Emmons guitars. the serial # is 1780 L and it was purchased new from Music city in Miss.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, we have determined that the only difference between the 6a and the 7a is the on off switch. I have no idea when the switch was added, but the unit was purchased new by a now deceased friend who could have added it. the unit works good as it should and looks great.
