Hey Ray! Cool looking Rig!Look and see if there is any other holes other than the ones that mount your pad.Alot companies use a double neck body and leave the hole for the back neck pickup.Also see if their is a impression of the key head on the finish.I converted my '66 to a SD like yours.Good Luck...

It's all about how and what Zane made them from and his design.He was way a head back then.Stainless and wood are the keys as far as material.The design is what brings it together.Have fun figuring out the rest dealing with your hands.Everybody is different.Good Luck Phillip

Welcome home Bud!Greg is the man to talk to about a ZB.Be it a old or new.He knows them inside and out.I haven't Found a manual in the 19 years I've owned mine.They are pretty tender to work on.Becareful and Good luck!

Larry I have #1053.It was a D-10 and the body was finished solid black. I bought the guitar in 1985.It was totally disassembled.I build up the E9th neck.I had problems with the C6th neck.Now it's a SD-10.If you want more info and pictures.Shot me a E-mail Later dude Phillip
