On my guitar Ive got an audio taper on the volume, a lineir on the tone,,, now this depends what you want out of the sound! Is there any way to mount a post in the cavity under the cone where bridge sits to keep this from happening? I dont know how this would hinder the sound a Reso makes cause it would limit the vibration of the cone,,,

Theres strings on that neck,,, it looks like their are only 6 strings on the Low side of the neck,,, you can see them in the headstock,,, looks like there might even be some fingers missing out of the changer as well!!!!

About 3 years ago I seen Buck at the Crystal Palace play a Resonater,,,I think it was on Togather Again, and he was perty good.

Shop around for a low wattage tube amp(vintage) and crank it up, that might be the sound your looking for.

Ray for me it was the Speedy West stuff that got me. I guess his take on "Lover" is one that gets me. I also could not get myself to learn another instrument, not like Ive even begun to learn the Steel Guitar, but for a few years I try'd guitar and still only know my open chords.

Nashvill Allstars jazz from the hills stuff is along some of the lines of the Mercurey stuff. Its on Bear Familey and only like 2 or 3 of the songs dont have Jerry on them.
