Putting two amps together
This question is for six string guitar. I have had a Mesa Boogie DC 3 for many years. I recently bought a Fender Blues Jr. A friend suggested I somehow connect the two to experiment with the sound I can get. My first question is this possible? My second if it is how can it work and how would I contr...

Dr. Z Maz 38 amp
Has anyone used the Dr. Z Maz 38 for a PSG? I was curious of how versatile this amp is and whether it would be good enough for a very novice PSG player.

Buck Owens Birthday Bash
I just got back from Austin where I was able to see the Buck Owens Birthday Bash at the Continental Club. Great show and great music. The entire band was great but Ricky Davis' steel playing was amazing. This is an annual event if you like Buck Owens.

pod xt
I have seen alot of people talk about the Pod Xt so I looked it up online today. I saw that it has a Leslie effect but I could not find a sample of that on the website. Does anyone have a sample of what this effect sounds like running through the Pod xt.
Thanks

Nashville 112 versatility
I might be in the market for a new amp for my electric guitar and I have also been considering an amp specifically for PSG. Could the Nashville 112 be used for both. I play basically rhythm guitar with the occasional lead. My electric is a Tele if it matters and mostly country rock if that matters. ...

Settings for amp
I have a DC 3 Mesa Boogie amp. I use it to play guitar and with my PSG. It is the amp I have to use. Any suggestions on settings for a better sound for PSG. It has a clean channel and "lead" channel. Gain, bass, treble, mid, presence and reverb. I know my ability to play PSG is the most im...

Dave Insley
I saw Dave Insley last night in Santa
Rosa. He is from Arizona. I think he said his steeler's name was Henry Nagle. Fantastic show and great steel playing by Henry. Great country music. If you get the chance to see them it is well worth it.

reading tab
I have a student model GFI with E9 tuning. I have three pedals and a lkl and a lkr knee levers. When I read tab that indicates a movement on the 4th or 8th strings, for example 5L, I know that it is the fifth fret, but does the "L" mean raise or lower the tone? I assume it means LkL. Thank...

I tried to use the scale program that was listed but for some reason it would not open. I also tried to find the the program that was referred to in the links and also could not find that. As you can see I am about as good on the computer as I am the PSG. Can anyone point me in the right direction t...

resting pick hand on strings
Do you rest the palm of your pick hand on the strings (the strings not being picked) while you play or is this a poor habit to get into?
Thanks,

San Antonio music scene
I am going to San Antonio in early August and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on places to go that play country music (with lots of steel), or if there are any must see bands who regularly play in the area. I will be staying in the downtown area. Thanks. Bill

volume pedal
I am considering getting a volume pedal. I was curious if a volume pedal is for pedal steel only or can be used with a regular guitar as well? I think I need one for both purposes. I find that my guitar sounds better with the volume all the way up on it but I can never seem to find the right volume ...

PSG in the Fox River Valley area of WI
My brother in law lives in the Fox River Valley area of Wisconsin. He is a very good (amatuer) musician/songwriter. His song style is a rock/country/folk style that is difficult to describe in a word. He has wondered what a PSG might sound like in some of his recordings/songs. I told him I would che...
