Looking for used BlockDock12HD cab and speaker

Looking for anyone thinking of getting rid of a BlockDock 12HD with the stock BN12-300S speaker. I already have an amp head for it.

Cash or I have a Milkman Amp 50 for trade.

Jeff, it is me, glad it's going well. I have a 400 and it's pretty fun, but it definitely has its limits mechanically. It's nice how quickly you can make changes on it, I like the wide string spacing and don't mind the pedal feel. Great tone. I put a basic C6 on mine, maybe you'd wanna put the Moone...

Jeff, I second everything Bob has said on this. Talk to Steeltronics and get a custom pickup made for your Williams, swap it in, play around with it and see what you think. Use an all tube amp. I'm not chasing that fender sound but do have a more "classic" tone using Steeltronics CE-10s in...

If you're using the MG-50 it's worth installing the effect manager and adding the Spring 63 patch to try out. It's much better than the standard one. Otherwise, Dave makes a good point - reverb is a pretty processor heavy effect and will drain battery pretty fast on any normal unit. May be worth con...

Not a lot of people know about them but I've been very satisfied with my Dean GS-B5-TSB Gran Sport Solid-Body. Not too much $ used either.

It might be the case that your tone is still fine but you can't tell with all the loud stage volume. Maybe try to get some gig recordings with decent mic to see.

What amp are you using?

Here's some pretty common ones here in New Mexico - though maybe it leans towards a slightly older crowd. I've been pretty surprised to see how popular the 90s stuff is with the kids though. Most of these are done in multiple bands I sit in with. Lots of requests for Strait, Jackson, Dwight and some...

For an absolutely brand new player, can't go wrong with Dave's suggestion above. I'd say P5-8 and C lower to B are now considered "standard", then add one more knee of choice - I personally would raise A to Bb, great for easy 7th chord and melodic passages. I think for more advanced player...

Jack's instructions are good. Especially get that String 3 .11 as tight as you can pulling it with pliers before you tighten the lock down screw.

If it's not tight enough you will run out of travel length of the tuner.

If you're sharing an amp, you may not have much individual channel eq available. I'd suggest an eq pedal for the steel. Or possibly even better some sort of amp sim pedal. C6 is a different beast than E9 but I have found going direct into PAs and into keyboard amps, they have a very "full range...

Awesome! I was hoping to get to Dallas this year, what would've been my 1st convention, specifically to see more about your tuning and maybe get a chance to sit on one of these guitars. Hudson PB-10 Practice Board (Lap Steel?) w/ Pickup

I bought this when I was in a place too small to leave a steel guitar set up. 24-inch scale and .33 string spacing. Wasnt sure whether to call this practice board or 10 string lap steel.

Question for fiddle players

I was wondering a bit what albums fiddle players think of as the 'bible' of country fiddle. For steel guitar, some in that list may be Ray Price LPs Night Life and Touch My Heart. For bluegrass banjo, many would consider Foggy Mountain Banjo. So fiddlers, what's in your country fiddle 'bible' album ...

I was an amp reverb only type for years but have been experinenting. A couple different delay pedals are nice for different settings on particular songs. Some people use a basic delay for everything and I think it sounds great but I prefer only sometime use. I've also played around with one overdriv...
