Due to the low level of interest, gonna just deal directly with those who responded.

They have been notified by email.

When the dust settles will remit the forum fee. (Well deserved in my opinion, thank you Bob! )

Interest in Vinyl Steel Guitar LP's?

I've reached the point in life where downsizing/uncluttering has great appeal. My son who is into Vinyl LP's has said he would like to have the 200-300 album's in my "collection". It's understood as part of a young couple with two careers, buying a first home, etc. they may sit in boxes a ...

Time Jumpers Nov 7th Stiefel Theatre, Salina KS

I was privledged to see the Time Jumpers Sat. nite. It was an absolute Master Class in every aspect of musical performance! World Class musicians. (Worlds Best IMHO). Wherever he is, Bob Wills must be smiling, or maybe even awestruck like I was.

In the closeup of Mr. Emmons (see above), the ghost like figure over his left shoulder is Tal Farlow. Right above his shoulder is a keyhead with seven tuners -- Bucky Pizzarelli.

Job stress?

Don't you just hate it when someone is looking over your shoulder while you're trying to work?

I knew Slim when he lived in Salina, Kansas (of all places). If I remember correctly he had just come over from Japan. He was playing in a local band with a local fellow who had met Slim while he (the local fellow) was stationed in Japan in the Air Force. Slim rode to St. Louis with me for the '77 c...

Just for general info and amusement.

The Valley Arts now belongs to Gibson, and they have opened a retail store in Nashville.

You can get to their website through Gibson.com or Valleyartsguitar.com

There is also a history of the store and its' demise.

After you listen to the Shaggs song, read some of the background information. There are several levels of weirdness going on there. Their story doesn't celebrate the joyful and total lack of talent like say "Mrs. Miller" "How can I miss you if you won't go away?" (Dan Hicks) Ed <...
