(This post is by way of empathy if not directly helpful information specific to a Fender 400. But you have Dr. Palenscar on the case, so that's promising.) I noted with interest (but didn't act in time on my own behalf) a post by member Steven Schwartz a few years back who had a Hudson psg custom ma...

Stringmaster legs

Set of 4, age/originality not important as long as they fit and work. This is for a late-1953 26" doubleneck if that makes any difference.

Dozens more got away, but these are the few that obliterate my sleep and torture my every waking moment. Bloomfield’s Les Pau...

I’d say a grand or so. Tuners look to be upgraded. (Nut-slot spacing looks a little haphazard.) This is 1990, a time of, let’s say, variable quality and consistency just ahead of the Gibson acquisition (1993). Sound and playability are more important than age or fancy tuners.

I’m starting over at almost age 70. I’ve had two reconstruction surgeries on my left ankle that have left it fused and supinated (tilted outward). I just found a converted GFI D-10->SD-10 that I’m having the ABC pedals moved from locations 123 to 678 for my right foot. (I’ll decide later whether to ...

I think some Sho-Buds were longer than most psgs, meaning not a lot of other types of cases would fit. Save it, sell it, pass it on.

This looks like a Chicago-era Model 37, 1936 or 37?, very similar to The famous two 37s that Mike Auldridge played for many years. If memory serves, his two had serial numbers in the 200s.

Jeremiah was a bullfrog; Hoyt calls bulls#1+

Elvis and Col. Tom demanded 33% to record it, according to Hoyt Axton who was a teenager and present as his mother and Tommy Durden were writing the song. (My interview with H.A. for the New Times Weekly Phoenix, 1980.) Years later, Elvis wanted to record “Joy to the World” for a similarly sharkish ...

Miss The Mesa Steel Show and You

I'm bummed-squared-cubed to have to cancel my reservation for this year's show. My reasons, while medical, are orthopedic rather than immunilogical. I'll make a donation to SWSGA in lieu of a three-day admission ticket. The rest of all-y'all have fun.
