Vintage Sho-Bud Strings!

I came across these in the bottom of a drawer today: A complete vintage set of Sho-Bud strings. Gauges are: .013, .015, .011, .014, .017, .020, .022, .026, .030, .034, .036. I have no idea what they're worth, or even if they have a value, so all advice is appreciated. Paul http://bb.steelguitarforum...

Ricky

I knew you'd chime in! It does pain me to do it, but it ought to go to someone who will play it more than I have been. There's a ton of music yet to come out her for sure!

10-String Practice Board/Lap Steel - SOLD

Beautifully made practice board - or lap steel (whichever you prefer). Purchased from a Forum member years ago. ShoBud gumby headstock, custom-made bridge. Looks like a ShoBud pickup. There are a couple dings visible in the photos. Includes case. Currently strung left-handed but easily changed to ri...

Left Handed ShoBud LDG -SOLD

As much as I hate to do it, I'm selling my 1976 lefty LDG. Mint, showroom condition. Never gigged, and only taken out of the house for lessons with John McClung. This is a 2-owner guitar (including me). Standard E9 3 + 4 setup. Plays like a dream. In addition to the original leg bag, I'm including a...

My 2 Cents...

I bought my left handed LDG sight unseen. It was my first PSG. I truly don't know how sitting down at several lefty steels prior to buying would've changed my mind, as I would not have have known enough at that time for it to have made a difference. (I don't think the car buying analogy really appli...

Left Tele Bridge

OK. I know that there are a bunch of really talented machine shop owners on the forum, so here's my request: Can anyone manufacture a left-handed top-load, 3-hole, 3-saddle Tele bridge for me? Please? I been all over the internet, spoken with Callaham, Glendale, and every other bridge maker out ther...

Ever see one of these? Harmolin Acoustic PSG

Came across this ad on Los Angeles Craigslist. http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/msg/2179959704.html http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1029/3801_3n03k33lc5Z45P05X1b1p54cbfc462f89145f_1.jpg http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1029/3801_3ka3mc3p45O65Z15R2b1p24a077e241af1a73_1.jpg http://bb.stee...

By the way, mine's a '76 with the gumby headstock and wide pedals. Jan's seems to be a bit later than that. And mine doesn't have what I assume is a tone control on the endplate.

Lefty

I do still have mine! Duane Marrs told me that Sho Bud only built about 3 or 4 lefty LDGs so they are rare indeed.

Peavey Cabinet

OK. Here's another cabinet. It used to be a Peavey Special 130, but alas - the amp chassis is long gone. There is, though, a JBL M1 Series 12" speaker, and it does work. The cab is in really good shape, though there are a fews small tears in the Tolex in the rear. The cab measures 20" high...

Fender Cabinet

I have an "empty" Fender cabinet that used to be a Stage Lead 212. There's no amp, but there are 2 12" speakers that I can't vouch for in any way, shape or form. The cab is in great cosmetic shape. It's really solid, too. The grille cloth is a little worn as you can see in the pix. I'...

Lefty

It's always interesting to me that this even comes up. Just because right handed players outnumber lefties doesn't make playing right-handed the "official" way to play. Just look at all of the lefty guitar players out in the world. And a quick look at almost any guitar manufacturer's websi...

LA Steel Jam Photographs

Mike - I'm thinking about setting up a little backdrop and offering to take nice photographs of players and their steels. Do you think there would be any interest? I'd offer the photos for sale for very little $$. You can check out some photographs I did a few years ago at the jam here: http://www,p...

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Has anyone seen a video of Buddy Emmons or anyone else covering Somewhere Over the Rainbow? Just trying to one-up a friend of mine who keeps sending me Youtube links to different guitar players playing it.

Thanks in advance -
