vox?!

thanks so much for sharing! i really appreciate all the work you put into that. I guess you were showing everyone here what was used to get your 'sound'. I really like that contemplative and emotive quality. I thought as I watched it the second time how it seemed like it could be used in film, not t...

And is that a Hammond B3 in the background? I love the combination of the Organ, Horns, and Steel. It is on all my favorite songs, recordings. Thanks, Mr. Lettes!

Rickenbacker Console questions

Does anyone have or know how I can get either a schematic or the owners manual of the Rickenbacker Triple Console from the 50's? Also, I plan to reattach two of the metal terminal boards which have fallen off. They have been glued several times in the past, it appears, and I was going to use double ...

Importing a WAV, using the melody analyzer.

I have my own WAV files from other recording programs (cubase, ableton, garageband) that I can bring into BIAB. After reading the posts in this category, I found the Melody Analyzer and then saved it to BIAB. Now what? What I was hoping to do was put some drum and bass track to it. For me, the probl...

Pedaled,, pedal harp, pedal steel

When, in some form of music instruction, the term "pedal" note or 'pedaled notes' is used, is there a relation to the pedal harp, or just the piano? Has anyone compared the copedent of a pedaled harp to a pedal steel? Has anyone tried to emulate a pedal harp onto a pedal steel rig? (maybe ...

my take on this

If by tight or soft feel is the amount of allowed travel, I have found by using the hole closest to the cross rod on the bell crank gives the 'smallest' amount of travel ("tight feel"), while using the hole furthest from the cross shaft on the bell crank yields the most amount of travel (&...

cubase and lexicon

I have Cubase LE and the Lexicon. I have recorded and then burned to CD. Word of warning is to make sure you understand the different file formats and the "PooL". You can get confused and lose files or formats if you do not "save". So your disk can fill up fast. I transfer/copy f...

Tom is "THE" MAN in the Bay Area when it comes to Pedal Steel. He refurbishes, has parts, and is in the "Hall of Fame". He is honest, straight-forward, and knows more about Pedal Steel Guitars than almost anyone. You can find him on this site. He refurbished my guitar, and fabric...

Any cheap beater console single or doube necks

I am looking for a double neck or single neck project guitar. If it needs TLC and/or parts, machining, and you are willing to let it go cheap, please let me know. Or if you have an extra single or double neck you would consider renting for 3 to 6 months, or even rent-to-buy, again, that would be gre...

Hi Chas, hope all is well. I suspected that these headstock covers were done by Chuck Wright also. The quad shot leave little to doubt. http://usera.imagecave.com/Bigsbyguy/BBlack2.jpg I have been dreaming of such a guitar! Do you have any or more info about this. Wow! Thanks for all the responses and info

I would like to get the "chord" copedent. A long, long time ago, I was curious about Pedal Steel but learning about all the various tunings was daunting as I was having trouble going from regular E to open G on a six string. Curiousity finally killed this cat and now I am curious about the...

Fender on ebay

item 270103883911 is a Fender 8 string with 8 pedals. It shows the under carriage with the cables hooked up. It appears to me that all of the cables are attached to the first four strings. Was this a common setup for a fender like this? Does anyone have a copedent for this? Curious about the history...

I will buy one of the 1st 25 with the new speaker and a closed-ported cabinet and with the "real" volume knob and knowing it is 8 ohms instead of 4. I would really like to try it though. And I may have to trade in some equipment I have now. But I know if it is "good enough" for y...
