Overdrive is so hard to get right on pedal steel. Earth Drive was the first usable one for me, but I’m now using a Source Audio L.A. Lady. Its great. Almost all the settings are usable. Costs less than Earth Drive too.

Here’s a clip I made using it. https://youtu.be/aYYXz2lSUz0

Buckaroo for Twin Steels

I love the song Buckaroo and two steels are better than one. Here's my attempt.

I just got a Baby Bloomer too. It also has a hiss and taking out the battery made no difference. Any other ideas?

Thanks to Paul, Tony and Mark. It was fun going heavy on the effects and adapting guitar licks to steel. It makes me approach the steel differently. I prefer just playing with a little reverb, but using the effects really helps me when playing with rockers.

Very nice! I remember this song from the Joy Album. It also had a steel guitar version of What a Friend We Have in Jesus which inspired me to take up pedal steel guitar. It only took me 20 years to get around to starting!

Hotel California Solo/Duet on pedal steel

There must be a thousand guitar versions on YouTube, but what the world really needs is a steel guitar version!

I'll second the Source Audio Collider because of its presets. Whether Collider or separate pedals work better for you just depends on how you use your pedals. I used a Boss DD-8 and 2 different reverb pedals. I was perfectly happy with the sound, but I switched to the Collider and am happier. I init...

I took 710s out and put Wallace True Tones in. The sound improved a lot to my ears. Now I'm using BL 705 and like them a lot. I think it just depends on what sound you want.

I just wanted to say that I recently did a couple of deals with Dick and it was a pleasure doing business with him. I would not hesitate to deal with him again in the future. He was honest, reliable and upfront about everything. Thanks Dick.

Fuse

It probably was something as simple as a fuse. But since I didn't spot the fuse right off I went ahead and sent it back. There is another one coming.

On the other hand, if it was a fuse, would it have made a hum when the power was switched on?

Thanks for your input.

I was hoping I might be missing something ridiculously simple, but no. It simply is defective. I'm exchanging it for another. If the next one has the same problem then I'm the one that is defective.

New Nashville 112 dead

Just got delivered a new one. When I turn the power switch on there is a very soft hum, but power light does not come on and there is no sound. Changed power cord, instrument cords, outlet, instruments. Anything else I should try before returning?

I thought that song had a steel intro too. I think I was confusing it with "If We're Not Back In Love By Monday." It sounds like the steel intro to "Monday" would make a great intro to "December" too.
