Gene was from Amarillo,Tex. I remember him,he also had a brother named Leonard,i believe,don't know what happened to him,but i think he also played steel a little,Gene was great,and a real nice fellow to boot.

By all means,I met Jim Harper on the forum,and a nicer human being you will never meet,and so is his wife Peg,both really nice,and being new to pedal steel,he has helped me tremendisly,just wish we didn't live so far apart.
