"Tele's are meant to be played with tubes. A 112 is voiced for steel, and isn't going to give you a decent tone for a Telecaster. " Tell that to Redd Volkaert, he (at times) plays a NV 400, a good sounding tele, a couple of decent pedals and good hands can make for a pretty good tele tone....
